Hey everyone, well basically someone has hacked my account and put parental controls onto my account, and because my mum doesn't have photo ID (I'm 17) I cant do anything about it. It's really annoying and I can't play at all in the day (which is when I normally play due to other commitments)
Any help or suggestions?

Call blizzard. I got hacked to and they were able to reset the acct and i was able to put a new password, that will be able to keep the person that hacked you out. Do it quick because he can be spamming and get you acct banned.

Try sending Blizzard an e-mail or writing an in game ticket when ever you can log in. Explain your situation to them and they might remove it. Not sure if this will work though.

just wondering (ive never had this problem) but if you can log into the game cant you just log into account management and remove the parental controls and change your password?

I call BS on this story. Has anyone heard of a hacker putting on parental controls? And what parent doesn't have photo ID? Just sounds like his mom actually did lock down his WoW time and he's looking for a way around it to me.

Soo was your account actually hacked (gold stolen, chars deleted, equip sold to vendor) or the only sign is the parental controls?
And I'm pretty sure its impossible for your mother not to have a photo ID if you're 17.
Maybe its just too early for me but this thread made no sense

I mean, say you are 17 and at age 17 this time of year you should be on your senior year of high school. But you say that is the main time you play? Your mom can easily get a photo ID at the DMV, or whatever the equivalent is for your country if you're not in the US. Originally Posted by bradrate

Well then its hardly a hack then is it? You're underage, you didn't have any damage done to your account, you just got parental controls installed, if I was blizzard I would be skeptical about your story too. Originally Posted by bradrate

I had to call blizz and it took 30 min to get through. They should be able to reset your acct but youll need to provide them a new email address to reset. i had it resolved within 45 of realizing that i got hacked.
