    Karazhan - Netherspite

I enjoyed the fact that i didn't have a clue what the heck i was supposed to do there - just stand in the green line when you're supposed to and stuff... I was clueless on the base mechanics
I tried to sleep on my keyboard - Not a good idea, WASD on the cheek in the morning.

Tough one. I'll go with Blackwing Lair, AQ40 being second. Favorite encounter was Nefarian. Before AQ was out, and even for awhile after, it was a huge status deal to kill Nefarian, a real status symbol.

Fondest memory: I was on vacation at the beach and I had hauled my desktop all the way down. Because the house we were staying in wasn't big enough I was relegated to this tower that I'm convinced was only supposed to be there for show. There was no AC and it got blazing hot in there. So there I am in this tiny tower on dial up connection in the blistering heat trying to get ready to raid. We ended up getting our first kill while I was there, and I got my T2 chest off the kill. Great night, one of my favorite memories in all of gaming.

Kara, all of it. It was my first raid and I thought the whole setting was goddamn epic.

Sunwell - Kil'jaeden. Very epic encounter and very difficult pre-3.0 (although I'd say m'uru was harder and we definetley worked on him for a lot longer). My 2nd favorite would have to be Yogg-Saron in Ulduar though, yogg was an awesome and well designed fight, very fun.

    Ulduar. It was so Ulduar-ish.

No, seriously. I started to like the whole Old-God-Storyline a lot thanks to Yogg-Saron and the Story around Thorim and so on. It was quite interesting and i loved the Boss-Fights there. Still remember Mimiron-Hardmode scaring the hell out of me. "OMFG DON'T SAY THAT NAME." ... I also prefer Yogg over C'Thun anytime.

    Ulduar, Yogg

I loved how the hardmodes were handled in Ulduar, felt much more immersive and "realistic".
And yogg without any keepers helping was such an epic fight and a great feeling to down.
Deja Moo - The feeling you've heard this bullshit before.
It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye. Then its fun and games but you can't see.

    BWL
A lot of reason's really. But mainly being able to do 40 mans when content was up to date. It was sooo freaking amazing having that many people in a raid which strats that seem easy now, but were pretty difficult at the time. Especially getting black and red on NEF! Another good reason is because I got to raid with like 10 of my real life friends. Now I raid with 1. Lastly, stepping foot into BWL...was just so freaking epic since the game was still somewhat new and 40 man raids were really new (especially for me).

    Ulduar

I had a great story around it. But what made it feel like THE raid was first of all. The encounters actually were hard compared to alot of other WotlK encounters.
But second of all. The hardmodes were dynamic, you had to change something about the fight to get it to be Hard Mode. Instead of just pressing a UI button to change the difficulty you activated towers, you let minibosses be alive to support the boss, you started a selfdestruct mechanism. It was just a great experience overall. Dynamic hard modes = win. I'd love if they wouldn't do everything so much easier for themself and just make that UI button that changes the mechanism of the boss, aka add a new mechanic and some more damage and HP. Gief designed hard mode options yo =)

Definitely Ulduar for me. Freya, Mimiron, Yogg and Algalon - epic encounters in epic surroundings. Ulduar gave me a very special feeling, a feeling none of the other raid instances have ever given me.

It was so huge a place and you wouldn't just walk from one room to another, you would walk from one area to another. Each area had it's unique look and touch and the bosses and trash was actually alot more different from one another.

Also I prefer surroundings with flowers more than lava lol

    Karazhan, for every reason ever.

    BWL without any contest!

Reasons? I dunno, farming MC for a long time to get all 50-60 persons involved in our raidgroup geared and then (scared as hell) setting our feet in BWL to see the majestic layout compared to the dull grotto of MC, it was just EPIC from the first second. The fact that it tooks us 3 weeks of wiping before we could kill Razorgore just fueled the feeling that "Man, this instance is awesome and hard as hell"! Was gm/rl back then so when we killed Neffy for the first time (rather early kill on the server as well), it was just ... a priceless feeling of accomplishment!

Everything and every raid since that day has gone slightly worse by each kill... nowadays noone even raise the voice when a new boss is bagged, we just *shrug* and move to next...

Nefarian and BWL is the pinnacle of WoW imo and the game peaked there!

    Kara.

    Why?

Most instances, today, are like this. ======BOSS======BOSS========BOSS=======BOSS

Of course, there are turns and stuff but you get the picture.

Kara, however, is actually a castle. I'm not going to even attempt at drawing it, it's too complex. Sure, there was really only one way that most raids went, but that doesn't matter. You were missing out on half of the scenery if you only followed the critical hallways. It was just gorgeous. The atmosphere was epic, to say the least.

    Sunwell hands down.

Loved the scenery (belf style, summer feeling is my favorite), loved the encounters, loved the look of the gear and loved the difficulty.

Patch 2.4 was awesome (Sunwell + MGT + the whole QD isle).

Karazhan, Black Temple, Sunwell, Ulduar, Icecrown Citadel are all my favorites, best raids Blizzard ever made
