I don't think they were bashing it...
They were using that slogan because WoW is very big and one of the thing Trion was trying to do with RIFT was to get people that had burned out with WoW.
It shouldn't really be taken seriously, it's mostly a bit of a joke.

Community play event is happening this week, guess well see more of these threads. I do not support x vs x comparisons unless somebody starts saying "lulz animu" because wow is nothing more then a cartoon either. Dont be blind. and if your pc cant run unreal tournament 3, then thats just too bad for you why not upgrade your system to one from the year 2005. youll be able to run it no problemo. UE3 engine is not Frostbite 2. ( drool bf 3)

I played WoW for 5years while playing AoC for 2years, LOTRO for 2years and Aion for a year. TERA totally kills them all. It plays a lot better than it looks and it looks gooooooooood.

But yes, it plays amazingly - and just to test its demandability, I installed it on my laptop I use in-flight and in hotel rooms to check things while traveling - it's an '08 HP notebook, and the game runs just fine on it. 15Frames, medium settings. Not great, but quite playable.

what you said Minky, this board is full of haters, I for one USED to like WoW therefore I will never bash it, i think rift has potential, I think ToR will be awesome, guild wars 2 aswell, and TERA just rocks my socks off, after playing it for, oooow, 3 months now :3

But the majority of the people are here only devoted to one title, and feel like bashing the rest, just like 14 year old owners of either a playstation, wii or xbox. the rest should die, right?

tera's graphics are simply amazing, you can hate all you want, but those arguements are oh so hollow. tell me what sucks about the graphics then
a: the lightning effects? ( very much next gen )
b: the shadows? ( as good as in any other game )
c: the physics? ( breakable objects in the world, realistically moving clothes, limbs, IN THE WIND! moving trees, falling leaves when touching trees or running over grass, or sand, and it will become dusty infron of your very eyes, ah man the list goes on )
d: the art style? Wow is a cartoon, tor is a cartoon, tera is a slightly more asian influenced cartoon, get over yourselves. im not gonna take anyone playing games full of pixies, fairys, dwarves and elves ( as wow has aswel ) seriously if theyre hating on the art style, youre supposed to love it by default or else what are you doing playing this genre?
