Should Mage/Hunter/Rogue/Warlocks Get Goodie Bags Too?

It seems a little unfair that hybrids have access to this option, when hybrids refusing to do their non-DPS roles is why CTA is even being implemented. Should Mages, Hunters, Rogues, and Warlocks get goodie bags as well, since they don't have an option other than DPS?

They benefit from shorter queues from this, it's not like it's some large perk, if you want the small little perk then stop chain-rolling DPS.

mages, hunters, rogues, and warlocks should shut up and be thankful that queues will become shorter

No only Warlocks..... CTA is a good idea, plus it could also help in gearing alts /motivation.
    No Signature. Seriously. None.

    Imo, everyone should get.
    Stupid change overall.

The drop chance is low they said, I doubt any better than if you ran the actual dungeon that drops them. probably even lower.

Some of the items are probably ones you never een wanted, otherwise you would be out farming them as some of the ones mentioned are not even random drops.

If you happen to be a DPS farming old dungeons or rep for them, then guess what, your queue will be lower (assuming this works as Blizz expects it to) and you will have the extra time to run Sethek or farm sporeggar rep, or....

Terible way of thinking. A pure class player chose to not role a hybrid yust as the hybrid can choose to yust dps.

Only warriors should get goody bags, to make up for Ye Olden Days when they could only tank.

You can farm the pets faster and easier by doing the instance they normally drop out of if you want them.

I'm sure the amount of gold int he goody bag will be substantially less than you would've made if you had simply farmed for the same amount of time instead of spend it running a PUG dungeon.

There really is nothing in the bag you couldn't get easily as a DPS anyway in less time than it takes to tank a random. They don't need or deserve a goody bag, and i'm saying that as a hunter main. You aren't entitled to anything just because other people get some bonus or reward doesn't mean you are too.

DPS should actually have gear taken away. And given to me. Also I'd get a cake.

And how exactly will that change anything at all from the current system? The whole point is to increase tank/heal representation so that DPS have less que times.

Someone has no idea why this change is going to be implemented, and also no idea how incentives work. Just be glad that blizzard didn't decide to penalize people for queueing as DPS.

    Couldn't agree more.

@OP: by your logic hybrids should get goodie bags for running as DPS as well because you refuse to jump on your alt that can tank/heal or lvl one up further increasing the queue time

Playing your main that is needed for raids is chain-rolling DPS?
    Okay QT.

One possible way this could be addressed that I could think up is have it reward people for choosing lesser-played *classes* than roles, but that's not exactly a great idea either. In that scenario, you'd just end up with rogues and warlocks taking it most of the time.
I think a better incentive that Blizzard could give to make people want to queue as tanks and healers would be to...address the reasons people shy from those roles in the first place. Which certainly wouldn't be easy since it can be a very varied thing. For some people it's the difficulty of the roles, for some people its the mechanics of those roles, for others its because their guild has no need to more tanks, and they have a need for more than one dps spec.

Rewarding one person and not rewarding another is a form of penalization. Herps and derps everywhere.

I actually agree with OP. Since we don't have the option to spec Healer or Tank. It has nothing to do with that we are playing a pure class at all. We shouldn't be penalized for playing a pure class just because we enjoy it the most.

People like you are the reason we'll be vote-kicking annoying/bad tanks and healers right before the final boss. At least 50% of you guys running in my groups won't see your goodie bag.

Actual queue times won't shorten. Any tanks or healers worth their salt will likely already have any incentives Blizz can dish out, or easily be able to get them without having to sit through a PUG. So what we're left with are terrible half-DPS-geared tanks gemming pure Wrath stam gems rolling their face on the keyboard and wiping on Ozruk for the same amount of time we'd already have spent sitting in the queue. And the worst part? They'll get rewarded for it if somehow a bit of saliva rolls down their cheek and lands on the right key at the right time.

We as DPS may spend less time in the queue, but overall I truly believe putting up with worse players than the LFD currently has to offer is only going to increase the wait times to get a dungeon finished and move on to the next one.

I think some people are forgetting that the goodie bag doesn't only give you pets and mounts (which I don't care about), it also gives you gold, which is something everyone needs; and I find it comical that I get extra gold for doing my Daily on my Warrior, but I get no such thing doing my Daily on my Mage

Wow there is a lot of "but I want neat things too" going on....

    No there's not.

There is a lot of 6 classes have access to something, while another 4 do not

That's called imbalance, and while there IS a lot of it going on, it's not "but I want neat things too"

Give it a few weeks then every person with a learning disability or a sense of entitlement will roll a tank or healer just so they can get the goodie bags which will in turn cause the players queuing as dps to be the ones getting the bags.

    Love it.

Would you prefer to have 50 minute queues?
