To be honest, I always felt that shorter guys looked better than me dressed in suits or nice clothes. Might be my own issues since I was overweight when I was younger, and having a slow thyroid I still have to fight against an inclination to put on weight. Always felt like a gorilla/Sasquatch in a clown suit when I tried to dress well.

There might be something to that. Like, if we're talking about shorter guys who are fit, not fat but not skinny, it makes sense that suits would look better on them in general. That's one area I think a lot of short guys don't think about: weight. If you're short but not overweight, you're still in pretty good shape. (No pun intended).

I think the tallest I've dated was 6'0 even. I just want taller because I love cozy bear hugs- but at my height "taller" is very, very easy to accomplish.
