Whatever happened to this? I heard about it but nothing recently, if they planned to release it, then when? Or did they end up scrapping the idea?

It was said to be in 4.2, but that was before they pushed the Firelands back. So i assume 4.3? 4.4?
Where I come from, fag means cigarette.
As far as im aware theres been on further info on this. It was announced during Blizzcon and that was the last anyone heard of it.
Pretty sure it's still in progress OP
there will be one, ppl are just not sure when
perhaps it will be a super secret raid, as was Ulduar in WotLK when nothing about it was known until the PTR release. Here's hoping.
seeing as firelands isnt even out yet we're just gonna have to wait and see
crossing fingers aswell.perhaps it will be a super secret raid, as was Ulduar in WotLK when nothing about it was known until the PTR release. Here's hoping.
Haha for all we know the 7 bosses in firelands may not be all we see O.o and being into lore as much as I am, I would love to see this raid!
Ulduar wasn't so super secret in WotLK - there was a unusuable green raid portal by the big gate in front of the current Ulduar entrance! In fact, a lot of Ulduar was already in the gamefiles before patch 3.1 even came out, as the following video shows:

Most probably WotA raid will be released after firelands.
Well, they didn't forget about it,just focusing on some other things...
The thing that shocked me was that 4.1 was ZG and ZA since they announced an Abyssal Maw dungeon/raid AND an Old God raid(they may be the same)
Stulti se laudant.

I think CoT: WotA will be the CoT:MH of Cataclysm, the last raid before Deathwing, kida like how CoT:MH was the last raid before Illidan... (think I said that right) if you dont include Sunwell raid
I THINK (so dont hold me to this) that it was stated that N'zoth was one of the major contributors to Deathwings corruption, if not the biggest contributor. As far as im aware he also aided Xavius in corrupting the Emerald Dream and by extension, help corrupt Fandral too.
Yep just read it now on wowpedia.
N'Zoth is an Old God, one of several malefic beings that were sequestered by the Titans during Azeroth's primordial ages. N'Zoth is responsible for the "spark" that created the Emerald Nightmare. He is also the being that is largely responsible for Deathwing's corruption and current state.
As I said I suck at lore. So it could be possible to see this dude come after deathwing I guess.
It could go either way really. I can see Blizzard pulling a major plot twist in which we kill N'zoth first which somehow affects Deathwing and leads the redemption of some Black Dragons, which in turn, alongside the purified egg from the Badlands, helps to start the Black Flight anew after Deathwing is finally defeated. But meh. Theories will be theories.
since his "blackening" took place in the past, and that was basically the rise (and fall) of c'tun and yogg saron i'd rather go for them :P
anyway, i don't think blizzard actually stated which of the old gods influenced deathwing most, it seems to be a scheme designed by all of them
Firelands and War of the Ancients are in Patch 4.2!
Its the same like Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep.
And N'Zoth isnt in Cataclysm, we would see him at the next xpack
