Wrongfully accused?

I don't usually post on the forums, mostly read.But after what i just experienced i would greatly appreciate some feedback.I was in a ZA tanking on my feral druid (with pugs) and a 353ilvl cloak dropped.Seeing that i currently had a 346ilvl one equipped i thought that with abit of reforging it would be a nice upgrade.So i needed with a hunter as competition and of course i won immediatelly starting a flame war , with everyone calling me a bad player etc etc.Now i realise it may not be the ideal tanking cloak but was there any reason to be flamed so badly?

ps. sorry i can't post links yet so here are the stats on the cloaks.
Recovered Cloak of Frostheim
the 353ilvl cloak :
604 armor
180 agi
270 stam
117 hit
122 haste

Twitching Shadows
the 346ilvl cloak:
580 armor
168 agi
252 stam
112 crit
112 haste

It's perfectly fine for Druid tanking. Agi and Stam are what matter most.

DPS just get pissed when they have to compete with a non-DPS for loot.

I don't see a problem tbh. More armor, more stam, more agi; although the hit and haste aren't really perfect for you, there's still the upgrade to agi/stam/armor, which outweighs that with reforging.

What was the hunter wearing, the BoA cloak? lol

I'd say yes. Usually Tanking items in general have agi on them for tanking. Ideally hit/exp/crit/mastery are the 4 stats but haste is nice for threat generation too.

Welllll, hit is useless to you, and there are better cloaks out there for you, so the polite thing to do would be to wait until your cloak dropped. It was kind of a not-nice thing to do, seeing as even reforging would leave you with some of a useless stat.

With something like that you can just ignore them or report and let them sit in a corner for an hour or more. I don't know much about bear tanks but the stats are the same and better other then the hit/crit so why can't you have it? Expect that of hunters tho, they like to roll on everything and tantrum over it.

lol @ this post, not commenting on the main issue because you wouldn't listen to me anyway, you've obviously made up your mind, but this quote is funny.

It's a clear upgrade except half the stats haha!

PS: If you're a tank and have any hit on your gear that isn't reforged off, you're bad. You should avoid getting hit on your gear in the first place.

It sounds like the people in your group do not know how feral druid tanks work. While crit is better than hit for you, the other cloak has more armor, more stamina, more agility, and more potential for reforging.

I disagree with you. The hit isn't COMPLETELY useless, plus it can be reforged. It was a direct upgrade to agi and stam which are a druid tank's best stats. Sure there are better cloaks out there for tanking. But that is true for the hunter as well. It was needed by both, both could roll, both did roll, the tank won. End of story.

You realize that the pool of cloaks for Bear tanks and hunters is the same? This, the Valor point cloak, and a BOE that still goes for 15kish are the only upgrades that either player has. The VP cloak also has hit on it by the way.

This cloak is an upgrade, what THEY did wasn't nice. He played the game, and shouldn't be faulted for it.

Well, hit, haste and expertise are all basically dump stats for bear tanks; the benefits they bring (if they even do, I'm looking at you haste!) are sooo small at the current level of play compared to crit, mastery and dodge that it simply isn't worth wasting the stat points on them.

Threat isn't an issue thanks to vengeance at the moment.
Hit means virtually nothing after the first few seconds as a direct result of this (plus interrupts can't miss now).
For expertise, see hit (there is no parry haste any more).

what other drop should i be waiting for? from the 353 lvl items? the rest of you , thanks for your replyes.I was pretty much thinking the same but i felt i would make sure.
