need some advice on a new semi build

    Hey ladies

I need some advice on a new semi build, this is what i currently have and what i will be replacing:
    Q8200 2.2ghz core 2 quad
    Asus P5ND SLI mobo
    4GB kingston ram
    (none of the above oc'd)

Im planning to build this pc in time for some of the new games coming out such as BF3 and MW3 so im looking at something future proof.
I have a MSI GTX460 Super OC and im planning to get another at some stage.

I have been directed to get the following hardware:

    Intel Core i5 - 2500K @ 3.30ghz socket LGA1155
Asus P67 Sabertooth Intel P67 DDR3 Motherboard (B3 VER) (MSI P67A-GD53 was my 2nd choice)
    Corsair XMS3 4GB DDR3 pc3-12800C9 @ 1600MHZ
Akasa AK Venom Nano CPU Cooler

The above come to £370 with shipping.

is there anyting anybody would suggest changing or anything better i can get for a max of £400

    Thanks in advance

Going 8 gig of RAM instead of 4 would be a better option than going for the Sabertooth board imo.

If you are going to upgrade because of BF3 or MW3 coming out, imo you should wait a while for the prices to drop a little.

EDIT: Just noticed the point of those rams.. Stupid me.

If he did that he'd be asking for some system reliability issues.

Wait, what? How would 8GB of RAM cause system stability issues?

True but i was told that the sabertooth was piss easy to OC same as the MSI P67A-GD53 infact the MSI P67A-GD53 has a turbo button on the board that oc's within like 5 seconds. handy for me as i cant oc for shit lol.

overclocking with a sandy bridge is 'piss easy' regardless of whether you're using a 'easy oc' button or not. Plus motherboard has very little to do with the ease of overclocking.

Previously in order to OC you would need to tweak with the BCLK as well as the multiplier to get to your overclock. The only thing you really need to do now is set the multiplier then crank up the vcore slowly until its stable. If that's too much work for you, then set the vcore to auto and set the multiplier to what you want it to run at, obviously you don't go crazy with the multiplier.

The MSI one you were thinking about would be a good choice. I usually try to find deals for stuff like that. Like you could opt for an 'open box' from Newegg:

    MSI G45: 62.99
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16813130582R

I got my GD65 for around 120 a couple months ago and it wasn't missing a thing, although no idea what yours may or may not be missing. You just need to get a mobo that has the features you'll take advantage of in the long run.

Pick up the MSI P67A-GD53 motherboard instead, swap the 4GB RAM to 8GB (I'd choose Corsair Vengeance LP RAM for lower voltage), and change the Akasa Vemon cooler to the Be Quiet! Dark Rock Advance.
The above I meantion totals £375 on Scan.co.uk - With the cooler on offer today.

You could also swap the Mobo+Cooler for
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/msi-p...lus-cpu-cooler

    £119.99 - Today only on scan.co.uk

If you can wait another month or so, then do so. Since AMD's new CPU's come out which will drop the price of SB.

Did you even read my comment.....

It isnt aimed at the OP, someone asked if hes gonna add that ram, which someone replied that the adding for the 2 sets of ram would prob lead to stability issues.
Then fuzzy asked why, which i replied to.......
