How do the guest passes work? Is the game good enough to just buy it?

I think it's a good game but it's not a game for everyone, so I'd try to get a guest pass first. Especially if you have a computer that's over a year or two old.

Is running RitV at lvl 15 a good way to earn gold ?

Can you send money to your alts in this game? When I tried, the Send button was greyed out.

For some reason, in Wildstar you need to fill Subject of the message and body of the message, only then sending mail becomes available. Hardcore!

When you open your friends window do you see your friends as their account name or do you see the name of their character? I made a mistake when I made an account for beta and it has my real name...I need to know if I should create a new account or not. I don't want people seeing my real name.

When you add a friend you can choose to either add the char name or the account name. YOu of course have to approve this if I am not mistaken. So you can just diapprove it everytime someone wants to add your account name.

SOOOO true..... logged in last night at about 8 intending to go to bed at around 9:30-ish..... started questing and before I knew it, my clock said 11:45. The quest progression and quest density is amazing, even though it feels like a LOT at first, it just flows and you always have that, "oh, I'll just do one more" then another call pops up or you find a quest giver next to your current objective, or a challenge pops up, or you find a path objective that's "easy" to do, or a datachron tucked away in a corner, or a housing item that you'd really like to place, or a zone boss that people are teaming up for to take down, or a zone chat asking for people to do the 2 or 3 person named mob quest.......

I haven't felt like this since the first time I played through on SWToR on my first character, but even that game didn't have the completely packed, smooth quest transition this game does.

Most MMO's have quest hubs, and Wildstar is no different, but Wildstar also has quest objectives and quest givers in between those hubs, so the questing and objectives never stop and it feels awesome! Especially since the combat is engaging by itself, it just makes everything feel so fun.

I feel that is a minus for some people (including me), as someone who doesnt read quest text (mostly) and just accepts the quests, it kinda overwhelms me when I get to next hub and get like 6 quests. Yeah, they are at the same area and often overlapping, but it still feels like a chore. Maybe I'll get some kind of motivation later, atleast I hope so.

you can chose a nick that is displayed to account friends. it defaults to one of your characters' names, but you can change it to anything you like (with the same restrictions as characters' names). so no worries about rl names.

Dungeons/Adventures are not a good way to earn gold, even with a skilled group - not a lot of gold drops, and very few decor items that sell for a lot. Questing is still the best.

They will be able to see your account name, so adding only the character may be the way to go.

I can't really blame them as you need to quest to get gold and stuff and you can't level in healer gear.

That's why you maintain two sets of gear?

I levelled with my DPS gear while also picking up tank items (if there was no good DPS quest reward upgrade or if that particular slot was sorely lacking in my Support kit while only a small upgrade for Assault).

I spent no money on additional gear. It was all quest rewards and random world drops, and by the time I hit 20 I was rocking full sets of Assault and Support gear.

It's not even slightly unreasonable to expect people to have two sets of gear.

Eh... even for people like this, who don't read quest text, I'd still think it's a bonus because you always know what you should be doing. It does take a while to get used to the sheer number of quests you always have coming at you and in your quest log, but once you get used to it and just start knockin em out, the time and levels just kind of fly by...which is great, leveling doesn't feel like a chore, it's just part of the natural progression of playing the game.

I'm downloading the game for the trial right now, but I just ran a check about its system requirements and, apparently, my RAM is only 3.5GB (which seems wrong to me, but w/e). It didn't affect me much in the Beta (although I had to put the game on "8-bit" settings basically despite having a fairly good, albeit integrated card in this computer). Is it going to make any difference now?

So I scanned my pc for games with curse client in hopes of it finding wildstar to add some addons which worked great.

It found 3 Wildstars however..

They are called:
Wildstar
Wildstar 2
Wildstar 3

Which one is the one I actually use..? any idea how I can fix this..? lol.

You should be fine with that. Are you using a 32bit OS? That typically can lead to it reporting 3.5GB, but also can be a 64bit OS but you have a 512MB Graphics Card so it is not showing that as available memory, but is.
