Convince me to come back to WoW?

Title says it all... I quit a few months ago shortly before 4.2 came out after finishing T11. Haven't even logged in during 4.2. But I'm kinda missing it. Also been seeing some interesting stuff in the works for 4.3. Thinking about maybe coming back... Still not convinced though after hearing so many of my friends have quit over 4.2 disappointments... So where do you stand? All opinions welcome. Thanks

Whether this was being sarcastic or not, he's pretty much right. I miss a lot about WoW as well; I tried quitting three times before I finally DID quit on the fourth. I have a lot of fond memories of WoW. Unfortunately, this isn't the same game anymore, and it lacks almost everything that drew me to the game in the first place. Every time I quit, I got those thoughts going again about, "Man, I really loved doing >this<, or >that<" and subbed, then immediately regretted it.

If you need random people to convince you to join, even after a lot of your FRIENDS quit, you really don't need to go back.

I just got back a couple weeks ago, as long as you have someone to play with, it's fine. In your case, you might want to stay away though.

I came back for the FL quests and raid after killing several bosses and going through the JOB of grinding dailies I quit all over again. Srry but the Trans-thiga-maggie just aint all that much worth getting into and the only reason 4.3 is comming so quick it to keep players attracted to WoW rather than go to TOR.

GUARENTEED as soon as tor hits live 4.3 will BOOOM BOOM POW kill DW.

It just aint worth it Loved Wow but it just got stale

When making the decision to come back, try to think to what you're coming back for, and if you really care about that feature/people/content, and if it'll keep you occupied to justify starting the habit again. As it stands now, wait till after 4.3 to come out to contemplate re-subbing.
I'm bouncing the idea of coming back, but I'm holding off, and have generally come to the resolve that this expansion was a general flop, and I'll keep my eyes and ears peeled to see if anything worth while pops up in tandem to the announcement and release of the next expansion. If I see the issues that are under Blizzard's control are corrected, then I'll re-sub prior to the next expansion, if the next expansion doesn't correct the issues then I won't re-sub. If I do re-sub and Blizzard pulls a bait and switch like the did at the start of Cata, then I will not touch WoW ever again and their actions will greatly affect my further business with them. I have zero tolerance to baits and switches.

If you need someone else to convince you to come back, you don't want to come back. If you do end up coming back, you'll leave again after a couple months (if that).

So, save your money, save your time. If you want to play an MMO, try something else. Maybe Rift, maybe Star Trek Online or LORTO. Maybe wait for the new The Old Republic.

Unless you have friends in game that you want to spend time with do not come back. There is nothing to do outside of raids. Only reason I ever come back/stay is because of friends I want to hang it with that live thousands of miles away. The attraction of the game alone has long since been a staying point.
