Could we be going back to 10's and 25's separate lockouts?

"The shared 10 and 25 man lockout has had both positive and negative effects, it solved the need to do both every week but removed some extra content that could be done every week. Some changes will be made in the future to make everyone happier with the solution."

    I wonder...

I doubt they'll seperate them again totally, although I prefered it.

I wouldn't like to. Personal preference. I like to know that while raiding reasonable amounts of time weekly (again - personal preference) I can clear the content.

I would like them to - they dont have to change the achs, but it was nice when you had done your 25man raid to know you had a ten man available, it essentially doubled the content and gametime

This for the most part. I loved the feel of bleeding edge 25's and running 10's for practice. Made me feel that much more prepared when it came to progression night.

Agreed. I just feel like if they did allow the 10/25 Man lockouts once again, then running 25 Mans would just be extremely mandatory and otherwise only creates a larger gap between what people 'feel' like what they should do and 'want' to do.

People say they want the lockouts, but I definitely think that when it comes down to it...It'll only cause a headache.

After watching that GamesCom interview, you really got the sense that they're still not 100% happy with where they're at with lockouts. If there's another change, I could see a shift to a three tier lockout where we get something along the lines of 10-man, 25-man and HM where you can choose between 10-man and 25-man for your HM attempts as restricting HM to a specific size would be folly.

would be nice to give us more to do

but then i would suck at the same time, having to find a 25man, or feel like you're falling behind on gear

Exactly. With the limited time I have, I want to be able to clear all the content weekly, not run 25man and 10man. So ye, I do hope the raids will continue to share lockouts with each other.

Same. I really, really, really hope they go back to 10's and 25's on a separate lock out. I have such horrible luck with drops that I needed 10's on the side of 25's to gear myself xD

Would that mean back to different gear though? Between 10's and 25's?

I doubt they'll go back to separate lockouts as the shared lockout system keeps players from getting loot as fast, and therefore, playing the current content longer.

Plus, with the incoming raid finder, once you're done raiding on your main for the week, you can hop on an alt and go from there.

and hope those people wont be completely terrible wich most likely they will as most decent players wont use that and just make an alt run with there guild/friends that know how to play

Also wouldn't a two tier lockout system being brought back "break" all the specific 10 man guilds that are now in Cata. I really hope they don't bring it back in it's old form as we remember it, as I fear for the 10 man guilds .

Possibly we'll see 15 man raiding with separate normal and HM locks.

Shared locks on 10 and 25 just makes it mandatory to run both each week to maximise the gear the guild can acquire.

    You can clear it anyway?

Can anyone explain this to me? I've seen quite a few people in this thread and others saying "I want them to share lockouts because I don't have much time and want to be able to clear it." How does this make sense? Even if they shared seperate lockouts you don't HAVE to do both. Some of us have the time and would like to do it more then once. Why do those of you with a shorter play time get priority and feel that this should be catered towards you.

Tbh, the shared lockouts created a major problem for some 25 man raiders. Once the obligation to raid 25 man for progression was taken away, a lot of 25 man guilds suffered because some of their players decided to change to 10 man raiding, the remainder of the 25 man raid group that wanted to continue 25 man raiding were left with a dilemma,

    1. Try to limp on while attempting to recruit to make up for the people who left
    2. Accept the inevitable and change to 10 man in order not to end up near the bottom of the progress list

For a lot of players the answer of "lol join a 25 man guild" is not an option as they have a lot of ties with their current guild, sure some may find it easy to ditch their friends but thats not how I want to play.

I never found any problem with seperate lockouts

With the Valor cap, seperating them wouldnt be that bad. Means that you can cap your valor without having to go boring hc's at least and still have shot at some more loot.

You can also get the 10 man "elite/core" etc to go 10 man hard modes and do 25 man normals with the guild for those wanting to do that. My guild would benefit alot from this

They will probably make HM switching available, so once you got a boss down in 25HM then you still be able to continue that ID with the rest in 10HM i.e.

I am happy with my 3 days raid schedule and would not do seperate 10man no matter what.
