Ah, this wasn't a thread about electromagnetic pulse scorpions.
Thinking about getting one when i growup, always liked scorpions and i can take of pets
Actually thought the same thing when I read "emp". Google'd it but didn't find any wiki or relevant info on it. First thing I noticed on the picture were the huge claws.. And I thought that those had to do something with the emp... srsly, I did
Why is it called emp?
Btw, I don't like creeps/reptiles(??) at all, I freak out a little, but seeing someone have such animals(?) as their pet is kinda cool.
Try turning off the lights and putting a uv light over it....should glow in the dark. Least i think thats emperor scoripions haha
yup i keep the humitity at about 80-85 with misting and some moss i bought at the petco. Heating has been a real issue I purchased a zoo med heating pad and placed it on the side of the tank like I saw other scorpion owners do, However this thing really really sucks haha. It's at around 70 in the tank atm witch is alright i guess. I'll just have to wait till my infrared heat lamp comes in.
Hes beautiful :O I want one
Emp is short for emperor correct and my black light should be here monday.

I don't recommend getting a scorpion if you're afraid of picking them up. You could still get him but not being able to hold your pet in my eyes is a real bummer. I've spent around 90 bucks on him so far, But I still have a few things to buy before I'm happy. Do a lot of research on the type of scorpion before buying it and I recommend getting home ready for him before you buy him. I plan on buying another 2 or 3.
"drool" i want one - just thinking of how i could absalutly terrify my wife and daughter :O!! Oh the horror
"evil laugh"
haha the only reason why i did open this thread !

I'd love to get a scorpion, there's only one proper exotics pet shop where I live and they don't have any, bought a black and white argentine tegu and a jungle carpet python awhile back. Looking at getting a tarantula next.
