What happened to "Bring the player, not the class"?

If your raid has enough dps to kill normal and hard modes that you are progressing on, why does it matter who is top?

Because Im about to get kicked of the raid because my dps is apparently to bad.

Why are people so insecure that they feel the need to come on a non-blizzard website and complain that somebody else in their raid that is helping them kill the bosses is doing too much damage?

Because I would get banned on the public forums.

You realize if all you people crying for mage nerfs or any other pve nerfs, you'll be stuck on bosses for weeks due to lack of dps, I guess if that sounds fun to you....

Because I dont like the fact that the day our mage cant join the raid, we cant do anything because the dps is to low.

Imagine if your feral dps was the top dps in the game, topping better geared mages with a legendary weapon, does that sound right to you? Didn't think so.

I did on AoE, but then I took an nerf arrow in the knee...

Currently 4/7 hm's and guess what, we don't have a single mage

Just play the class you love to play, I've never seen anyone in the last two expansions say we're not taking you because you're X class. All classes have been viable in PvE for a while, yes some are "better" But who cares? Just try to be the best of your spec!

That is more of a your GM/RL is retarded than a mages need to be nerfed/balanced problem. Good GM/RL's know the limitations of each class and should be able to differentiate between good/bad

If you're really ranking N.149 on a fight no way should you be in danger of being kicked unless you're a complete dick to people in the raid.

I have been trying to tell him about it, but all he sees is that recount, I even tried to say that I had to be N.01 in my spec on WoL to beat our mage, but he just didnt care about it. All he said was "Awsome dps mr.mage" and "Pusekatten, why is your dps so low?".
Like I said, I was N.149 the night we downed him with 44,1k now N.200 is at 44,5k (last I cheeked), but I think I would do more dps now, because off new gear (397 staff included)
It just bugs me so much when blizz makes arcane good, then they make fire even better, and then nerfs shamans or what ever, but the shaman thing I think is because of pvp (dont quote me on that since Im not sure).

I see where you're coming from but you have to remember you offer other things to the raid besides pure dps that the mage doesn't, if your GM really only sees recount he needs to get a reality check because if they kick you everyone's dps will drop... But alas 'tis the game we play lol

The problem, Pusekatten, is your raid leader's unrealistic expectations. He expects certain classes to perform better in roles they don't.

Blizz can't fix that.
