Rate the Questing Experience of Warlords of Draenor

So let's start rating our own experience how we found questing this time around in Warlords of Draenor.
In my opinion this expansion had the best questing experience since ever in World of Warcraft.
The Garrisons missions, the rares everywhere that you meet among the way and the mini perks you have each zone we're just brilliant!

I hope they keep up this quality of questing in next expansion!

I think the questing is the most engaging of any expansion. Kudos to Blizz. As always though, there is room for improvement.

There didn't seem to be anything all that new this time around. Rares were interesting till I found out they weren't really rare, and they were just a loot pinata for a piece of gear for a class I wasn't even playing. Seriously, why they didn't make it so they'd give cloaks, weapons, and items for your main stat is confusing. Smart loot works in LFR, LFG, and bonus rolls, why not on these things?

I'd rate it middle of the road. 5/10. Nothing all that exciting or innovative. I did like the outpost abilities.

I actually believed the quests to be fun and intriguing. I didn't cringe at the thought of questing like I normally do. I believe that the quests have been much more fun and interactive ever since they released Cata. However, I agree with Gegan about rares. They seem really cool but the only thing they're good for is garrison supplies (very little) and apexis crystals (occasionally). The loot would be awesome except for the fact that they never drop anything I can use. Blizzard should look into adding smart loot to these, especially if we will only be able to loot them once.

However, I voted 10/10 for questing as I had fun leveling to 100 and think this is the best expansion as of yet (despite the launch flaws).

It was awesome to see a mob that could drop something special in my eyes!

It is not perfect, but it is getting better and better.

    6/10 for me.

I like questing generally. I was pretty excited to start finding rares but a few levels in I realized they aren't rare at all. Plus nothing ever drops that is useful on the gear side of rares (though resources and the rare apexes is nice).

I like the look and feel of the zones (music, atmosphere, etc.) but I really felt like I had to go out of my way for a lot of quests to get around boulders/mountains/things like that. While that's not a huge deal (b/c it's still way easier than vanilla questing)....it's not what we're used to any longer. I really hoped that since there is no flying blizz would make me forget about needing it, but the way some of these zones are designed I feel like I wanted flying more.

But it's great not having to do 4 quests here and then only being able to do 3 quests where it sends you next. I definitely enjoy running around and having more quests and the bonus ones pop up. I still have a ton of quests to do on my level 100, but have started a few alts now so we'll see when I get back to those. I really wish there were more quests at level 100 that provided garrison resources (like the daily apexis quests).

The questing experience has only improved as time has gone on, and Warlords is no exception. The quest flow is very fluid, and the quests themselves often have an indirect, if not direct impact on the player's standing, and their strength in the world. Many of these revolve around the Garrison, which I feel is the most important part of the experience. The fact that Blizzard had a tangible way to show your accomplishments, which they could also build the entire experience around probably helped to make this what I feel is the best questing experience in WoW, bar none.

This nailed it on the head for me. 9/10.

It's easily the best questing experience in all of WoW because of the storyline being brought to the forefront. MoP saw some first steps in that direction, but WoD takes it so much further with cutscenes, the introductory course through Tanaan with all the Orc Chieftains presented in a 90's action flick way.

First time I actually felt I'm a part of the world. I really liked the way Blizzard created some of the quests. Really liked all major quests that involved a cinematic. Outposts are pretty cool in its way.

Well it's easily the best leveling in the game, the voice acting is top noch and everywhere. Even the slaves that you rescue have unique VO. The variety of rares and treasures are cheery on top for sure.

Amazing zones, story was mostly cool, and most of the quests were great.

Some lore idiocy and redundancy of quests like kill+collect took it down from a 10.

Questing, although pretty much the same as it has always been, has really benefited from the addition of cut scenes and the use of instances to progress the story. However this is let down by a small amount zones which you quickly out level and if you do as I did (as I have done in all previous expansions) and complete all the quests in the zone you will hit level 100 before completing the fourth zone and find that you have not got a high enough item level to progress on to other content.

It was good, but it can still be improved. I found Frostfire to be terrible, story-wise. Talador also felt rushed.

The questing was smooth in all zones except Talador.

So far I thought it was the best quest experience WoW has ever generated. It beat out the SWtOR questing for me this time around. The only zone so far that I felt pretty detached from and didn't really get into the story or quests was Gorgrond, but I enjoyed the laughing skull companions. The experience still has room for improvement.

As to the rares I enjoy killing them just for the drop, if they all gave loot for your spec people would feel forced to kill them all to gear up. The level 100s are rares in the traditional sense. I enjoyed the treasure hunting more than the killing of rares. This was one of the first times I felt like there was other stuff to do besides kill x amount of this mob. The story has felt more solidified this time around and like I'm actually progressing through the content, instead of look a new zone that is totally different and has little to nothing to do with the main story besides "look bug people."

I started playing when KZ launched in TBC and I dont remember that questing very much but compared to Wrath Cata MoP this is a trillion times better.
BLZ cut down on the ammount of kill/pick quests, added treasures, followers, garrison, Gorgond flying robot perk etc.
Lore and RPG crap I ignore, I ignore reading every quest in fact unless I get stuck and missed something.
Hands down it has been a joy to level in WoD for the above reasons coupled with a in my view perfect lenght of time in order to get a level. Not too quick and not too long.

One thing I miss as an old a grumpy player is challenge, never once felt I was about to die or that I needed to team up with 1-2 players in order to complete a quest, that I miss but it hasnt been present since TBC so why now.

Voted 9/10 and will happily put Wrath/TBC/MoP with an average of 4.

What I think is really funny is that everyone seems to be picking a different zone
for the zone they liked least... guess that means Blizz did well.
