does anyone have the latest racial simcraft results about what race is best for arcane/frost/fire ??? alliance + horde.
i would like the see the dps differences in each spec before picking a race which is good overall for my mage.

Troll blows every other race out of the water. For Alliance it's gnome, though the differences between the Alliance races are quite small.

Race differences in DPS are negligible. REALLY negligible. They do not matter in practice, they don't even matter in the simulation. Choose what looks best to you or whatever you prefer lore-wise. The troll racial cd might be a minimal boost to burst (burst! not overall dps), but that's not going to change anything in terms of real gameplay.

I'm too lazy to go back over discord to look for the sim right now as I am on my phone, but it went orc > pandaren > draenei > dwarf > troll. Have to take into consideration some racials such as dwarf/human scale better than pandaren. Originally Posted by Amaterasu65

TBH i found the extra cc handy from a Panda mage in PVP really handy. Blink ,sleep punch is a decent combo. then again you can do that aswell with a Belf blink silence combo so ye. TBH i found Trolls raciel was amazing in both enviroments but looking at the lack of control coming in legion specially with all the Melee love i would suggest a Troll for PVE and a Panda/Belf for PVP.
