Give me one serious reason not to use a disc priest instead of any other healer

Problem is that Shamans, Druids and Paladins all have to have the right partner.

Doesn't matter who Disc runs with, they're an instantly good team, just by virtue of the Disc Priest.

The OP only listed spells, to show that the Priest has every counter in the game, except 50% healing reduction, and is therefore, too strong. If in a 3v3 match, two DPS and a healer can all focus fire a Disc Priest for the entire match, using stuns/interrupts/Reductions/Silences, and CCing teammates, and the Disc Priest can walk away from it virtually unphased by virtue of having SO many tricks up their sleeve, there's a problem.

The only reliable way to beat a Disc Priest is to spam an offensive dispel on them, and hope to catch them making a mistake. Yippee, Ele Shamans counter Disc Priests... that's one spec.

priest is the one healing class that has absolutely no chance of ever getting away from melee on his own and a priest whose teammates don´t CC the shit out of everybody who attacks the priest just dies horribly. A single good rogue is enough to kill any priest.

I play with a Wlock in 2s and naturally I do quite alot of tanking their dps. However to be successful doing that and survive I need much more than just my spells to keep myself alive versus 1 dps.
I need my partner to occasionally fear, I need a pillar or something to kite around, I need to fake cast alot to avoid interrupts (in between penance ofc), I need to use my fear to get as many stars tears sips as possible etc, etc... Other thatn that I blow most of my CDs to have a chance to stay alive ie; PSup., PI, PScream, Inner Focus, Desperate Prayer.

If you are used to switch to defensive play very fast then go for a priest. Otherwise I would suggest Resto Druid.

Warriors' fear break is on the same cooldown as Psychic Scream.


#1 reason NOT to play with a Disc Priest: Literally every single team that exists past 2300 and doesn't contain a Priest is a complete counter to any comp a Disc Priest can run.

diffrent healers bring diffrent things to the game and that is why
you might might considering using them.

pallys have bubble, HOF, Bom, Bok, SS,
aruas holy shock a strong instant cast

druids have the advantage of using stealth which
the three other healing class dont have,
they also have inervate very strong dots MOTW
abolish poisin tree form to take alot of dmg
cat form for a speed to run and drink also changing
forms can remove slows sheep etc.

Never played shammy so cant say much about them
