Fury armor pen help

I am having some problems with finding where to add armor pen to my current fury gear (OS fury).

Right now I know i need a scorpion, and better boots but even with that I am still short about 10% armor pen. Last I looked on my armory I had Barbed Ymirheim Choker equipped which i switched for a Broach of the Wailing Night. I was thinking I could gem some armor pen but I don't know if it's worth doing that or getting the soft cap through gear alone.

Anything would be helpful. I should also add I don't raid often. I run a 10-man ICC with a friend's guild weekly but I'm a Main Spec tank so I don't get a lot of gear easily in there for my fury set.

not sure you can get there with just gear stats. start gemming for it after you get the scorpion

you don't have enough arp atm to worry about it, lose your hit gems, look at how you have gemmed generally and work on more crit.

If your thinking about getting Needle Encrusted Scorpian as a Fury Warrior...don't.

It's just a really shitty trinket. The ONLY good thing about it for us Fury Warriors is the Crit.
The Armor Pen proc, while being nice, ONLY procs off of critical strikes, and even then it has a low proc rate.
The trinket leans more towards Hunter/Rogue/Feral Druid.
For F-Warrior.. Grim Toll > Needle Encrusted Scorpian

Unless you absolutely need the hit from Grim Toll, I disagree. 114 crit is worth far more then 83 hit past the cap. It definitely procs a bit less, but the difference is more then made up by the static 114 crit. I did have about 53% crit raid buffed for the short time I used it, though. Also, I would rather have Mjolnir.

I have NES and it has fantastic up time. The crit is huge because it is over 2%. When you reach decent gear you crit always picks it up once the ICD is over. I see NES as being better than Mjolnir since you need less ArP to cap. Yes Mjolnir procs on any hit but as the poster before me said with over 50% raid crit it is always up once on CD.

No, the uptime is shit. Yes, it procs fairly quickly when it comes off of CD, but it has an ICD of 50 secs. Essentially, under ideal conditions it only has a 16.66% uptime.

Uptime on NES is terrible. For arp purposes, yes, grim toll is better. Proven at EJ.

wrong on so many levels, 1st NES has 8 more crit rating and a whole 13 more arp on proc than runestone, not even 1 arp gem, how will you manage to balance that? secondly this is the most important thing, the uptime is less, a lot less (up to 5%).

Get new feet, ToC5 HC feet got about 40 ARP and a socket (plated greaves of providence). Also you could get the belt from ToC10 (think it's named girdle of the impaler), first or 2nd boss. And get the trinket from ToC5 norm (banner of victory?), the one with 80ish ARP passive along with the trinket from last boss FoS HC (needle encrused striker). You should also look at Plainstrider band or Gormok's band from ToC 10 too. Getting some of these items will along with NES-trinket put you on the ARP softcap.

Hakto did you read his post? I am gonna bet most people playing right now couldn't drop thorum hard mode right now even in ICC gear. So after reading his post with that in mind NES is the best thing to go for. Yes grim troll can ge picked up from naxx but if my server is anything like other servers no one is running naxx. As far as gem goes yes it is a difference when dealing with cap since personally I have to run a 10arp 15 stam gem instead of a nightmare tear, so yes 13 is a difference. The uptime difference of 5% sucks but in my book its the easiest way to cap and the difference i have noticed personally is huge. So back to the advice to the original post. NES is super MOFO kick ass get it cap with it and you will see a huge increase in dps, just gem for it once you get it.
