First Glance:
Your helm is the healing one. May want to, well, change that to a DPS one. And you already mentioned the meta.
Second, the +intel trinket? You'd be better off with a green +spell power trinket.
No he's better off with a +hit trinket (dying curse would be great). Biggest issue is you aren't hit capped. I think horde needs around 265 hit (don't remember the exact number). After that try for new hat, boots, ring, MH as these items are more for healingOriginally Posted by Soulssong
Respec feral cat and top the meters. ;DSo, I'm just wanting to improve my dps,
get your hit to the cap, get your crit up get your next two pieces of t9 and replace that healer t8 as someone else mentioned drop that +int trink and get the hit one, or the crit one if you can get your hit up on gear changes.
i cant say anything about your MH weapon im using the same darn one due to some nasty rng latley in raids.
but yea hits your biggest issue atm id say in raids.

You should consider to change professions aswell, 2 gather professions isn't something you want to have when it comes to dps.
You can find some great info at the following sites...
http://qieths-quips.com/
http://www.owlkin.org/
http://elitistjerks.com/f73/
to name but a few, 20 mins of research and ull pretty much know everything u need to know.
Thanks for the plug, but you've read my mind. There's plenty of knowledge to be gained in forums and blogs, and you'll NEVER be an exemplary balance druid unless you really understand the class. You shouldn't need others to tell you what gear you need. Learn about the class and you'll know what gear you need.Originally Posted by hurtgen

Hehe, No problemo Sunfyre, its the little Blog sites like owlkin.org and Quieths site that got some really nice info, its easy to access, and to be honest, a little less intimidating than Something like EJ forums, im not slating EJ in any way possible, but for a new player, theirs alot of maths and jargan on their, that would mearly confuse a newbie.
Both your site and quieths kinda cut that down to the essential need to know bit, (and ofc, for those a little more experienced theirs the maths their too) but its mostly just info in plain english.
I have no problems with newbies, we were all their at sometime, and if the OP actually takes the time to read up a little, im sure he wont have any more questions.
Yea, Change the helmet

Apart from wanting to suggest that you read up on the basics (in the guide on these forums), just search around. "Tips and tricks" should not include general information on gearing, caps and rotations. Tips are the things you will learn - or discover for yourself - when you have done the basic research a bit. Blogs are cool for a bit of flavoured view on the classes.
Why? WHY? WHYYY? When will you people learn how to spell my name? :'( Qieth, Qieuth, Quith, Qæeth, Queef - there is no limit to the amount of things i'm being called :'( (although to be fair, its mostly my guild calling me Queef :P).Originally Posted by hurtgen
Ok, like someone else suggested, just visit Qieth's website wich is in his signature. But i'll give you some tips anyway.
Hit:
You have 197 hit. You have both IFF and Balance of power in your talent tree which means you'll need 263 hit. (assuming we're talking about raid bosses).
Haste:
You have 492 haste which isn't bad. The soft cap for hit is 400, which brings your wrath to a 1 second cast, which is the global cooldown. The remaining 92 ponts will only benefit your starfire. Not really a bad thing, but if you can find a way to lower it a bit to get more crit i would suggest you do that.
Gear:
Doing tons of heroics and getting your T9 items will sort out a few of the above.
So my suggestion is: get some emblems Of Triumph from heroics and raids and you'll see your dps improve in no time.

Actually, its usually spelled Keith. But when i made the name Qieth, i misspelled it by swapping I and E. By now, i've gotten used to it. I do like the name Keith (Qeith, Qieth), but alas, my real name is Dan.
Qan just doesn't seem to have that ring to it..

The biggest thing you can do is just read blogs. I remember back when I was boomkin and Qieth and Sunfyre(i dont know you so grats on the butchering of your name lol) didn't have blogs. My only option was grey matter and it was the best thing that I did to see what I needed to do to be better for my raids. As far as gearing goes i recommend www.codeplex.com/rawr , it still never ceases to amaze me . It helps especially when you are swapping 2 pieces for another 2 pieces which changes 4 stats and you get really confused and just decide to open rawr to see what the end result is :P
