So Gnomeregan becomes a new City or just a starter Area?

Iam wondering. Will Gnomergan become a majoy City, or just a starter area for Gnomes? Whats ya think?

I don't think so because of the instance part of it. However, I could see it as a small town-like zone, maybe with Class Trainers.

If you listen to the soundtrack, you dont even manage to get down, you only manage to retake the surface.
After that, the bad guy blows up the tunnel and seals himself in.

The surface will be a new Gnome Outpost most likely, and also a starter zone

hm, good question, first of all, "WE" retake it becouse... yeah, why? there have to be a reason not just LORE, starting areas would be more preferable couse of overal lvling in azeroth, we dont need acualy new capital citys, but starting zone for trolls and gnomes would be a lot more fun, still, we will get gnomeregan surfance so it should tell us something, dont know what but still

Oh, I hate the instance too, but there are those that are nostalgic about that nasty thing.

Same deal with the Echo Isles, a seperate starter zone for the Trolls.

Im gunna take a gamble here and say yeah, probably. However, if they did, the darkspears would have to have their own capital on Echo isles, and to be honest, i dont think Echo Isles are big enough :S

All of it? Or just a few of the upper levels that are closer to ground level?

And there are always people who have a fine time in a given instance... just because a great deal of people complain about something doesn't mean it isn't fun (i.e. pvp.... or pve... or trade spam)

[SPOILERS] well, if memory serves me well, the PH of final quest in retaking of gnomer chain involves killing 'real' Thermaplugg (with the one we killed zillion of times being a robot decoy), so i dunno, how the instance will fir in lore, but i'm pretty sure blizz said somewhere, that we only claim upper reaches of gnomer, leaving instance untouched.

maybe you're right - in WC3 Echo Isles were pretty big (after all they were a home to whole Darkspear Tribe). But just as with Gnomer, it'd be a bit lame to have 2 capitals in 1 zone
