HLK25 Valkyr Target Can or Can't be the tank?

I am new to this forum so forgive me if this question has been asked before....

My guild is working on Heroic Lich King in 25man and 3 tanking it. I am wondering if anyone knows what targets the valkyrs would not choose based on threat. Like, if our druid MT has primary threat on LK, I am pretty sure he won't get picked up. Is this the same with the Raging Spirit primary threat holder? What about being second on the threat meter...does that prevent the third tank from getting picked up? Anyway, the reason why I am asking is prot warriors have concussion blow and prot paladins have Imp HoJ so it would be more convenient to assign them to stun valks knowing they won't get picked up.

Any really knowledgeable people out there......confirm/deny?

If targetted by Harvest Soul, you'll never be a Valk.
If targetted by Raging Spirit, you'll never be a Valk.
If targetted by Soul Reaper, you'll never be a Valk.
If targetted by Defile, you'll never be a Valk.

I am pretty sure(90%) that those 4 things are true.

The main tank is the only one (as far as I know) that will definitely NOT be picked up. The same should hold true for the tank holding Raging Spirits. The other people in the raid are all fair game. We use 2 tanks for the fight, and the warrior we have who is not tanking LK has been picked up on numerous occasions. I would still say tanks make very good stunners, but always have backups for your stunners in case they get picked up.

1. Why on earth are you using 3 tanks? Chances are if you're learning the fight you're going to have more problems with 3 tanks than 2, particularly DPS on Valkyrs.
2. Valkyrs cannot pick up the primary threat target of Raging Spirits (at least I've never seen it) or Lich King himself.
3. Defile cannot be targeted on people picked up by Valkyrs.

This means that for majority of phase two, the only person guaranteed to NOT be picked up would be the main tank. Our off-tank has been picked up plenty of times. The main tank CAN get Defile.

If you are (actively) tanking a Raging Spirit, I don't believe (not 100%) you will be picked up. Everyone else, is fair game.

I don't believe the Soul Reaper part is entirely true. If this was true the off-tank would never be picked up, which isn't the case.

I agree, 2 tanking it is better.... wish that decision was up to me. I suspect this choice was made due to problems in transition phases picking raging spirits. That needs to be fixed regardless of how many tanks there are or we will never kill LK on Heroic mode.

Quite something funny was happening during our wipe, tank, healer and me as dps were left. I got defile target on me but at same time Val'Kyr. Defile never happend and I got grabbed by a Val'Kyr. This was with those bug times where Val'Kyr and Defile are like 0.5 seconds apart.

Sounds like a specific priority-targeting problem since you three were the last alive and valks had no one else to pick up, things are bound to get wonky.

In short, the offtank can be picked up but it's definately less likely.

And yeah, don't use 3 tanks it just makes no sense.

think the mechanic was changed so you cant be grabbed by a valkyr as long as you are tanking either lich king or the ragging spirits, was so awesome when we had a feral druid tanking the spirits, and he was grabbed and pushed out of bear form, that was during our first few times in lich king normal

Ok, as there isnt a clear answer :
First two on threat wont ever be picked, so, assuming you're tauntswitching with tanks, no tanks picked up for you.
