    Egypt Riot kills 70+

    Sad story today

    http://espn.go.com/sports/soccer/sto...e-fan-violence

You can say "oh its just about soccer!" but it is really a reflection on tensions in that country, and the complete and total lack of any control anyone has. People saying anarchy is a good thing can learn a lesson from all the crap going on there right now.

any control? people should not be stamping eachother to death thats kinda common sense imo.

If you read the whole article, the tensions between the "Two teams" is completely about the state of the country, not a soccer match. One side is accusing the police/military of staging the "riot" so there emergency powers are extended (Guess they did not work out so well this time, eh? (Read the line about "Riot police not intervening..wth!)

And the other side saying it was about people protesting and trying to bring the government to its knees!

Hate to say it, but they were probably better off with a strong, shitty government then this crap.

Just putting this in, because I found it funny, as well, as every other country on that site: http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Egypt

But on topic, yeah stuff is messed up there. I don't know the exact situation, but that country has a thing or three to learn.

Sports can be a great outlet for anger and tension within a nation, and a great way to focus on something fun an enjoyable without killing each other. Granted it doesn't always work out this way, but it's sorta like the saying "All work and no play..."
Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.

    Just, be kind.

These two teams previously hated each other as well, thats what makes even less sense about it all...hey, lets have two teams that usually hate each other play while tensions are incredibly high!

yea sports like baseball and tennis, Football has a reputation for turning violent, there is a mountain of videos of fans rioting and trying to kill each other, usually football teams do have a political/religious following behind them and because of that, holding a football game in egypt at this time would have been dumb

I know in america sports are like this wacky event you take the kids to and eat ice cream and stuff, but in the rest of the world is pretty much an excuse for lawlessness and violence

fotball has nothing to do with this, a country just about to do civil war, and over 1 year of domestic huge issues.
Sad for the country, but then i do ask you, wtf did all those people rush into the field? Of they dont want problem or danger dont rush the field.

Well to be accurate soccer has a rather broad history regarding hooliganism more so than any other sport currently I'd say. Although the situations never escalate in this magnitude.

I guess everyone here doesn't follow Egypt carefully
Sad but true, you heard of 81death (they are 81 now) but you didn't hear of over 1000death during Mohamed Mahmoud and Minister council events
    http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...t-new-problems
Old thread about lot of events before this one that leads to it

There is no civil war... civil war is like Lebanon, almost equal sides fighting each others
    Here is mass slaughter
We have no weapons vs tyrant system who has all powers and weapons

Want exact details of what happened?
    1) Wael Gomaa (player in Ahly) eye witness said: all gates were opened at same time between the two teams' fans
    2) For FIRST TIME EVER in El Masry History, the president of Port Said (the city where El Masry belongs to) AND the chief officer of police in Port Said didn't go to match between El Masry and El Ahly, FIRST time ever in history of all matches between both teams
    3)
both matches at same time, you notice the upper match is very crowded with policemen, the lower one (the massacre one) has few to none
    4)
A big notice all men who were attacking with wooden sticks were using exact same shape and look, same one, coincidence? (we talking about hundreds exact same looking)
    5) Injured survivors said that the doors that lead outside of the stadium were closed on purpose, they fallen in end from pressure of people
    6) Ahly fans said that weird people who did NOT come with them from Cairo raised a sign insulting Port Said's people, they forced this weird group to either remove it or leave the stadium, they left
    7) El Masry ultras said there were many strangers to them in stadium, and during events they were busy trying to secure key players out
    8) While Ahly rarely lose match in Egypt, he lost that match today, still people from El Masry (port said's local club) went to attack Ahly, that doesn't happen when team is winning their fans attack, or at least doesn't cross my mind a similar event in Egypt like that (all previous attacks were from fans of losing team side), whoever planned that they were assuming Ahly will win like 90% of all matches between Ahly and El Masry
    9) and most important one: The stadium quarter is full of high ranks and always since forever has army securing it, nearest military unit is 2min max from events, still none interfered to stop it

Whoever did that has power enough to stop many things to happen, all these powers are gathered in only one responsible hand in Egypt, the tyrant military council

What is your proofs mr 1 post newmoon100?
I gave you 9 proofs, 9, all of them documented and anyone can check they are true with names of areas and times etc, what is your proof?
STOP lying, what is your proof? I want evidence, and since I got 9 you should get 10?
I already go out anyway and a lot died around me, my full name is Samir Mahmoud Mohamed Elewa, I live in behind 11 bek st, Sababasha, Alexandria(city), Egypt
You will find me in many protests, many died around me before
I don't fear death, I don't fear anyone on earth
If you are one of the electronic commission that is hired by our tyrant council (in Egypt at least 100% there are many people in electronic commission who are tasked to follow and try to sabotage as many as possible movements on web since long time, they even announced before in press that they have an electronic commission for "publicity"), welcome aboard, give me proofs of what you say or just shut up, if you aren't, then use your mind and read what I typed earlier

Tyrant council's policemen are opening fire on civilian protesters who has no fire power and best weapons are stones
I must say I'm amazed I'm still alive yet, back injury just got cured from it and will go again
