Free new Mass Effect 3 ending coming soon!

    http://www.joystiq.com/2012/04/05/ma...-offers-furth/

Thanks all for not respecting the artist's vision!

This is why we can't have nice things, and no one outside of the industry respects us or accepts our hobby as art.

    Just wanted to say that.

You're right. I wish they released some DLC for Silent Hill 2 that better explained the ending. I would have loved that.

    My thoughts exactly.

I miss the days when developers were able to make the games they wanted, instead of bending over backwards to entitled fans.

It doesn't matter to me now cause I've already played it through 50 times, should've cleared it up earlier or made an ending that wraps it up properly.

and believe me, I didn't like the ending much either...

But I also didn't like the ending of Stephen King's 'The Stand'.

Didn't make me go and write angry letters to him demanding a better ending. =\

What? There was no vision in the ending at all, that's what bothered people.
    - Humanity would supposedly be killed by their own creations, that's why the reapers come and kill the humans now using their own creations (geth)?
    - Shepard is on the Citadel saving humanity and his team takes off and flees the galaxy?
    - Billions of aliens enter the sol system and the mass effect relay gets destroyed, leaving them to feed off the earth, which has been 90% destroyed? What happens to their homeworlds? Will the entire sol system starve?

Not even talking about the endig had nothing to do whatsover with previous choices, or how many war effort you had.

I would have liked the ending, eventhough shepard dies, as long as they answered at least the questions i mentioned above.

You missed so much its not even funny.
Take a step back, analyze and question what you see.
This is elementary. Newsreports, movies, games.
Dont just accept what you see as truth, take some time to actually think about it.
Bioware have put alot into the game to make you question the end, and alot of hints that it never actually happened.

I'm thinking about any, but I can't. The only hint I can think of is the boy, the catalyst, that he keeps seeing. But that just tells me he was predestined to be the first in millions of years to stop the reaper invasion. Can you help me?

You know, back in the days of Piccaso and Rembrant they made paintings for the rich and powerful. Guess what happened if said rich and powerful didn't like it? They had to redo it...This whole "artistic integrity" crap is a load of shit from people who know nothing of art. Stuff like that still happens. Artists are hired to make a certain work, they have some leeway, but if the person hiring them is unhappy they will be forced to redo it or just not paid.

Anyone who makes their art with the intent of making money has to listen to those who they want to purchase it. Those artists give up much of their artistic integrity to make money, which is their choice. However, that choice is something they have to deal with. You cannot make a piece of art you intend to sell as a product and then say it is your artistic right to make whatever the fuck you want. If you want to make money you have to make sacrifices to make what the purchaser wants, not just what you want.

You realize the prologue is reapers invading the earth and rampaging it right up untill the epilogue right?

Show me please there is he stated that earth destroyed? He said it's 90% and its IMO. I would say it's 70% but he didn't stated 100% Destruction. And under destroyed we can understand different stuff. Destruction of Building/Roads or complete purge of territory (no grass, buildings, mammals, birds only ash everythere)

What entitles you, the consumer, to the right to influence a story that does not belong to you? Nothing.

I wish Bioware had just told everyone to sit down, shut the fuck up, and keep their quivering, turgid nerd boners in their pants.

I'm sorry that you feel that Earth is always 90% destroyed when there are clearly endings where it isn't. That just means you don't have a solid grasp on percentages.

Those are different forms of art.

I wonder if those who saw Hamlet for the first time got all pissed off and swarmed Shakespears's house, demanding a new ending because somehow they were entitled.

I will disagree only partly with you here because:

if someone can't understand my art or my vision I will try to explain it so others understand it and maybe accept it.

But on the other side it's business for Bioware not hobby to develop games and it brings us that it's in they interest to satisfy their customers and strengthen customer loyalty. Some may find it bad. I personally don't see a problem here.

The reason people are upset is because you build your character for three games to have an ending where all three choices are more or less the same. I'm fine with the ending. Not exactly satisfied, but I wasn't outraged and demanding a new ending. OP, this is actually an example of us getting, "nice," things. It's what a lot of people wanted. Don't abuse the quote. People complaining about Pokemon in MoP is why we can't have nice things. It's not out yet and it was Blizzard trying to do something new that a minority of community has already condemned.
