No I don't mean protection rights but rights as in given special privileges like in this video where the geese nesting area is restricted for anyone to enter.

What kind of special rights are you referring to?
While you live, shine / Have no grief at all / Life exists only for a short while / And time demands its toll.
Canadian Geese DO have special rights, it's illegal to hunt them everywhere in Canada unless you're a native.
Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light.
So I chose the path of the Ebon Blade, and not a day passes where i've regretted it.
I am eternal, I am unyielding, I am UNDYING.
I am Zethras, and my blood will be the end of you.
Yes, special rights to be hunted for their delicious succulent meat. I don't care what Animal you are, I'm an Apex Predator, and I will eat you.
Like this orangutan? http://www.iflscience.com/plants-and...tive-orangutan
Geese are assholes though, and a group of them is even worse than a group of hooligans.
There are laws dealing with animal cruelty. So yeah, they do have certain rights and justifiably so. That said, they can also be pests and in some cases controlling them and even killing them can be justified.
If legally for conservation reasons the animals can not be moved (the birds would not continue to look after the eggs if moved to a different location) then yes, they deserve special rights. I don't know enough about that species of geese and that area, but we have animal laws for a reason.
In some situations it would be better to relocate an animal that is having problems with the urban population but this is obviously not one of them, since the eggs would essentially be destroyed by such a move. Geese should certainly not be punished conservation-wise just because they are a territorial animal and are slightly inconveniencing people. They are not actually harming people - now if this was an alligator we were talking about of course it would be removed because that would actually endanger lives.
That really depends on an animal by animal basis. Some animals are so small we can't even see them, such have no real opportunity to give them any rights at all.
Some are nearing extinction, and those need special protection unless they've an invasive species that has done more harm than good.
Whether that particular goose has rights, I don't know. If geese are attacking people arbitarily in a park, whack the mofo's down. It's just geese; they're not rare at all and if nothing else we can cook them for dinner and put them to good use. :P
One right I think all animals should have, however, is the right not to be tortured, insufar as it is possible for us to ensure that. Animal abuse is not okay no matter what in my opinion. This even includes animals for slaughter, which is why I'm against traditional Halal slaughtering.
Animals have the right to taste good, that is all.
I'm sure it's not a serious question, but if it is...
There's billions of animals killed for food annually and you want to give them rights? Like what?
Hahaha Special rights?
Every Animal, which ones?
I am going to go with NO! Not unless there is a specific reason to observe that.
I tell you what, I do hate are these "COMPANION ANIMALS" being sold as service pets. I am more than a little annoyed that this bullshit distinction has been allowed.
