Demonbolt not criting on mythic Butcher?

I've been playing demo on the butcher mythic for 2 weeks since the buffs, I currently have #1 ranked demo on that fight at 42k dps. However both times I've killed it and on a few wipes demonbolt specifically would not crit except for the multistrikes. Our other warlock didn't have crits either so in thinking some type of bug?? Anyway can't link the log cause I just made an account on mmo, look it up on butcher demo parses on warcraft logs though. Anyone else having this problem???

The number of demonbolts in a fight is so small i am tempted to say RNG.

The second lock on the list has crits on demonbolt... So yes RNG.

It's entirely possible to get zero crits in a fight. RNG is RNG.

I'm skeptical about RNG, although I admit it's possible.

With the amount of Crit you and your fellow raider have on your gear (not accounting for buffs or procs) figuring landing 30 DB (which logs say you two did) there's approximately a 2% chance of no DB crits occurring for either of you in the same parse.

As already said, we cast the spell so few times during a fight + having fairly low crit chance that its entirely possible to not crit a single time during the fight.

Just this past week I got all of 1 crit on twin ogron.

You tend to see consistent multistrikes because we have a ton of multistrike because its on all of our gear, and it has a higher effective chance, and it has 2 chances per cast.

Right, what I'm trying to say is that throughout wipes, I think it was last week me or the other lock in my guild crit on any attempts, probably a total of 80+ demonbolts in a row, rng???

I'm seeing that on the logs from the 13th, you had (over the 4 pulls on Butcher) 8% of your DBs crit. On your kill you didn't get a crit. But it seems that it is possible for you to crit with a DB.

The dps swings from critting demonbolts is almost too much rng.

I generally only crit once or twice a whole fight.

I imagine DB will be nerfed if crit ever gets high enough.

I agree. The logs really show the potential strength of Demo on this kind of a fight.

I feel like he's doing things wrong if he had 50% DB crits and didn't beat me as 680 I level. ^.^

Did you time that (like delay the HoG?) or did your fury line up really well with that?

Which dbs crit is just as important as them critting at all...

obvious if the first two crit out of all of your sets its not going to be as exciting as the last 2.

Did you time that (like delay the HoG?) or did your fury line up really well with that?

I personally will wait until I can double HoG before doing my DB cycle, within reason, of course. With the intention that they benefit from DS as well.

Well, if your first db crits it's still as much damage as a sixth demonbolt would do without a crit. DB crits are always pretty exciting. Even the first one of a cycle shouldn't be underestimated
And I agree that the dps swings from db-crits are pretty absurd. That's easily a couple thousand dps between two pulls from just a handful of crits.

rng rng is rng rng dork, especially when it's such a limited number of casts.





Same 677-8 ilvl and no gear changes between either of these.

It's really annoying sure. Especially when my alt seems to get more crits with a lower rating then my main.

Now just consider RPPM trinkets in BRF on top of that, HF.
