What class should i roll to destroy Hunters?

Im sick of being trampled by Hunters. I tried as BrM and Enha and i couldn't find a way to successfully counter them.
i won't play Druid, so any other suggestions?

I just hate them now i want to roll a class specifically to hunt Hunters .

Well, I oftenly do beat them on my Frost DK but if I face a Hunter that knows how to kite he will always win.
Luckily most Hunter are bad and backpaddling.

I still haven't been beat by a hunter 1v1 on my frost dk. Between asphyxiate, grip, keeping up icy chains 100% when they don't hae pet freedom, I haven't died yet. Every single rune is spent on deathstrike or icy runes, and I keep conversion up. If its survival AMS helps a lot.

the way the question is formulated, you will not destroy decent hunters no matter which class you roll.
it says "i dont know how to handle them, so which class will easymode them instead".

Affliction Warlocks can Drain Life them to death easily.

Boomkins get instant cast spells from Hunter's pets attacking them, have rather high armor and strong healing.

Not sure about Shadow Priests, but they have strong damage and Hunters are generally weak against DoTs.

Play a disc priest. especially against a lone range hunter. Its almost too easy

Any DoT class is able to destroy hunters. Tanks and offensive healers should be able to do it as well in theory but in practice it might end up being more of a tie due to fleeing from combat/LoSing/healing up.

Hunters are not all that hard to kill if you are decent at pillar humping, but if hes got clear line of site and youve got nothing to hide behind, hes going to push your shit in.


Probably the best all around counter for a hunter is another hunter. Hunters scale very well at low gear levels, are easy to learn, and can perform fairly well in the hands of someone with little skill. They become truly scary in the hands of someone who is skilled however.

Boomkins have the damage output and the self healing to outlast a hunter, as well as having the control to keep the hunter from escaping when he invariably decides to run for it.

Shadow Priests are also capable of wrecking hunters, but they are very gear dependent. At low gear levels you can still win if you kite, LoS, and whittle the hunter down. At high gear levels the SP can dispense with the games and go full on seek and destroy as theres very little the hunter can do but flee.

Mages are no threat.

Locks can be tough but have little chance of preventing a hunter from escaping if he decides to do so.

The best way to destroy a hunter is start playing one, understand the class mechanics and weaknesses learn how their core defensives/offensives look like and get used to playing more defensively.

Alright, that was not called for, Troll.
I stated that i cannot find a way to successfuly counter them, doesn't mean i lose 100% of the time. It means that with those two specs i get beaten most of the time no matter how hard i try.
I simply asked for opinion with which classes i have the upper hand so i can dispose of some to make me feel better.

Red text aside, afflocks tend to do well vs hunter teams in arena in general.

Only things that can beat hunters are balance druids and affliction locks. SOMETIMES shadow priests but far from reliably being able to do it.

Ofcourse, should you reroll to one of these, you will soon be making threads asking what to reroll to be able to beat dks and warriors and rogues and what not, that these classes have issues with. Make no mistake, hunter is the only range class that can reliably deal with melee, and rolling another ranged class just to be able to beat hunters will pin you against overpowering melee this time.

Besides, you wanna play monk and shaman in pvp?! You gotta be shitting me, these are worst possible choices for pvp right now. I mean how did you manage to like to play both of the worst pvp classes in the game?!

Aff lock but not 1v1, they're only good at killing hunters in 3s and 2s. Duels, I'm only half geared but I notice a full row of dots barely out damage spirit bond with haunt up but without Dark Soul. Used to be easy when you had the Curse of Exhaustion 70% slow but thanks blizz for removing it. /sarcasm

Good hunters go out of range whenever you try to cast Fear or Haunt while coming back to range to do their damage while running much faster than you.

1v1 I'd go boomkin or a well played feral or rogue to beat a hunter.

Frost DK's used to be good but with the runic power nerf not much and you'll be in roots and slows, all fight.

Same for unholy since right now disease damage is neglibible, only pressure you'll be able to do in range is with Gargoyle which has a long CD. But if you catch a hunter in a stun in melee range with Gargoyle, Breath of Sindragoza while unloading Scourge and festering strikes, he dies easy.

No idea about Shadow since I don't play one but they seem to be full of big damage instant casts now which might be good against hunters.

Well, BrM is not that bad in most 1v1 scirmishes. Although not a master of it, i tend to do well against most melee classes and with some talent tweaking even against casters. I'm not a 100% winner, but in the worst cases i manage to hard press oponents and pull off 5 and 10min def cds.
Aside from hunters, that is.

And to answer your question, i play those specs only because they are very rare. I pretty much dislike playing a mainstream class/spec with more than 5% representation. I like rarity even in case it's rare for a reason. Yet it doesn't mean i cannot be pissed off when consistently overpowered.

the question itself looks strange...where to win hunters? in duels? on 2v2 arenas? on 3v3 arenas? on BGs?
Is it arena issue?...so no matter what class you choose you will still lose to good hunters (=setup with a hunetr) if no skill and PvP education, because its party PvP.
