Legion - Worth returning for?

So as a veteran of WoW since vanilla and having played every expansion (only stopped during mists and warlords ) is there anything to come back for? Or will it be play for a few months and get bored again?

How long is a piece of string?

The real question is what kept you going during Vanillia, BC, WotLK and Cata?

Was it content in dungeons, PVP, raiding, something else?
Why did you stop in MoP and not come back for Warlords?
Sure I can say that I think its worth it and you should come back, but I haven't been unsubscripted this whole time as I enjoy playing with my guild and achievement hunting, if the reasons you stayed in the first 4 expansions no longer exist then I would say no.

At least give Legion a try, nobody can tell you if you'll like it over an extended period of time however, it ultimately depends on you.

is it worth coming back for? Yeah, I've enjoyed coming back for the lore and story as much as anything else.

Is it worth "staying" for? that's the question I think you want to ask, in which case, that's subjective to what you enjoyed before.

My opinion after playing it for a few months is that it's certainly significantly better than Warlords. It's equally clear to me that I don't think it is the best expansion to date.

If you actually enjoyed Cataclysm, then we're on very different planes of judging expansion packs though.

I judge my entertainment in terms of cinema equivalent units per dollar. Going to the movies generally costs around $15, and most movies last about two hours.

Any game that can offer me more than an hour of entertainment per $7.50 is thus worth paying for. That leads me to the conclusion that pretty much every game I've enjoyed has actually been a bargain compared to most other forms of entertainment.
