What spec will you be playing in 7.1.5

What spec will you be playing in 7.1.5? [Nighthold]
I probably will be playing either Frost or Arcane from the looks of it. Fire is getting nerfed.

Fire unless it's ruined. In that case, I'll let my account lapse until it's fixed.

Probably Fire beacuse I play Fire now, will add Frost since I have luck with Haste gear.

Also it's too early to say about Fire viability because it's not "nerfed" yet and sky is not falling. It's PTR and we didn't see final build yet

I only got back into legion after a 4 year break from wow and decided to pick and play Mage.

I've enjoyed being back playing the game but judging by how things are going on the PTR if fire Mage is nerfed so hard that I'm forced into another spec to raid then I will be sadly quitting again.

I've been around since vanilla (scarab lord) and I've seen enough of blizzards promises and failures over the years to have almost zero patience or tolerance for their continual lying to the community. If it were any other industry they would be sued for false advertising.

I've been arcane since launch and will stay that way because stubborn.

    Fire viable = Fire

    else rolling to (assa) rogue

    Exactly this.

Would love to stay fire, but, having tried it on the PTR it simply feels broken in terms of gameplay largely due to the spec having always felt broken if you weren't at around 60% crit.

Currently looking at going a Glacial Spike build as frost as it's the only mage spec I still enjoy gameplay wise. But since the playstyle is pretty unorthodox I feel like there is a possibility of it getting fixed. If that happens I'll probably re-roll elemental shaman.

Where is the "I don't have any idea what I'll do in 7.1.5" answer? Because that's me right now.

Since the first 2 PTR builds I'm just down. I don't know if I should keep gearing for fire, gear for arcane or frost? Or even reroll? Should I bunker my AP? Should I keep throwing it into fire? Should I keep trying to get fire legendaries or switch loot spec? This freaking uncertainty kills most of my fun I had in the game. I just don't have the time to cover all my bases and honestly I don't want to because it's no fun. Fucking around with gameplay of classes in the middle of tier 1 of an expansion shows how useless the whole year of alpha/beta was before Legion release..

If they don't fix fire like they promised, nothing out of principle.

Also all of this. I haven't signed on in a week other than to raid. I'm not having fun anymore.

It doesn't matter if our damage isn't "nerfed" if what people found enjoyable about the spec is gone. If after the patch the spec doesn't flow as well and I don't find it fun to play then they have ruined fire even if the damage is okay.

Took me three weeks to be 884 ilv haste gear, 31 traits as frost (also got the bracer and ring). So i'm ready for the frost in case fire get rekt. The hard part now is wait for the relic drop.

As if I knew.. Don't think even Blizzard devs know what spec is the best Mage spec come 7.1.5.

Outside of raiding though, will probably still be Fire.

Arcane seems the way to go.
With crit/stat nerf for fire you'll spamming fireball more and struggle to get to 3 stacks of PI. Makes it worse since HU gets canceled by a noncrit.
Frost is kinda of the same boat. Nerfed the fof procs so you'll just be spamming frostbolt more now as well

Word for word exactly how i feel. Only difference is I will reroll warlock just to have some fun with havoc cleave.

its still way too early to make an educated guess as to which spec you'll play as there hasnt been a tuning pass yet.

Fire, no matter what. I enjoy the spec too much and have spent too long turning my gear and farming AP for it.

Will probably be re-rolling. I switched to Mage for Legion, and have enjoyed it so far. I'm by no means a hardcore raider anymore, but I will be either A. Re-rolling, or B. letting my time run out.

    Why you do dis Blizz?(again).

If it were any other industry, they'd be bankrupt.

They've been stagnant for quite a few years now. It's a net-0 growth company in one of the fastest growing industries. Poor investments, poor leadership, poor implementations, bad PR, bad interactions with customers. Despite being one of the most lenient market segments in the history of this planet, they're net-0 growth. If it were another industry, they'd have had the sufficient pressure to fire the CEO, fire the incompetent management, and fix the company or they'd have died trying.
