Yea so yesterday I went HC OK and saw these dudes:
Does anyone know what those are ? And are they killable?

hmm Nerubian raid anyone?
don´t think they are killable, because you can not reach them. saw them too. think they were added in the lat minor patch. they could be:
a) there for the atmosphere (to make the ini look bigger then it is)
b) they could be a sneek and peek to 3.2 allthough i think 3.2 will be a troll ini
A content patch doesn't just contain one raid, I read that on a blue post a while ago. So I'll jump on Lushious, prolly a Nerubian raid in 3.2Originally Posted by wabun
Hope so, cause fitting "The ancient Nerubian Empire" into 2 instances is a bit silly weak, imho.

I will try to find away to get outside of the invisible walls there someday.
Like what? The only other ones I can think of offhand that are actually unreachable is the Level 80 Elite Tauren Chieftens in SMCOriginally Posted by Cthulhusong
People should really watch the Blizzcon '08 and Worldwide Invitational videos where they talk about Azjol'Nerub and other instances. If you look at all the Northrend instances you can clearly see that they made it that way so that you would actually feel like you are still part of the zone rather then being in an instanced area.Originally Posted by Xerdux
This is what they also have done with Azjol'nerub they want you to feel that you were in this ancient forgotten place sneaking arround and being able to see parts of it, but not explore the whole zone.
However in 3.1 with instance maps introduced there is a skull near the place where OP made his screenshot (not the direction of the camera) and this might and possible does indicate that there will be another boss added to the instance.
Another thing I'd like to mention is that if you get passed the invisible wall you will just fall endless untill you die. Just like you would if you try to jump off Outland. This can be done at the place with the mushrooms :-)
Have to correct what I have just written down.
The zone was indeed intended to be a subterranean zone, but instead they did split what they already had on "paper" and made two instances out of it. However I do belive that this was a big mistake, but I can understand where they are coming from. They had a deadline and they would have not made it if they would have worked on that zone aswell.
I do hope that in a future patch this zone gets expanded..
I think Azjol-Nerub should have been a zone too. It was so huge in Warcraft 3 and we only get to see a small part of it.
It should have atleast been a IoQ daily quest area.
Unforutaly, it feels like the Nerubian storyline has been finished in WotLK.
I kind of like that it could be there for the atmospherical sense, just to show that your in there place doing that sneaking around...
It being a zone would be pretty cool, a giant enclosed area, in a cave, just seems like a cool idea.
I'm on hiatus. Waiting till summer/cataclysm to get back to my sexy orc warlock. You jealous!
I don't think we're done with Nerubians. One thing blizz likes, is bugs.
Anyone recall looking down into Magtheridon's room while doing Blood Furnace? Yeah... maybe this is a hint of that? A new instance or raid instance tied in with the Nerubians.
Maybe the raid in 3.2 we will have to invade the Nerubian empire to gain back access to Arthas... or to deplete the Nerubian forces so they cannot invade us before we go after Arthas.
Might be the same as you are able to see into Sunwell from MGT when you get to the orb, might be something similar
a mage can blink through to the other side of that wall. i did it a while ago when i was bored, if you jump off you eventually reach an invisible wall and fall to your death.
Hehe, very spot on.Originally Posted by Elementium

Since their king is dead, wouldn't the chances of a new nerubian instance/raid be slim?
