    Question Hit rating

Hey, i know that this is a VERY noob-ish question but does higher hit rating increase the dmg output by any percent? cuz i think i should do. I mean, imagine that theres 2 archers one of them are very good at aiming(high hit rating) and the other one is not that very good at aiming(low hit rating) the one that is skilled would prolly hit someone in the head/spine to kill. and the one thats less skilled hits in the arm or stomach. i think it acually should increase the dmg a little, not much but a little (sry for my bad english hope u understand what i say)

Well if they missed the shot it clearly wouldn't cost damage to the target, Where as the person with better aim would hit the Target every time causing more damage.

There are caps to hit rating though. For example, for DPS casters it's 17%, before talents, raid buffs, and/or food. Anything OVER the cap is unnecessary and provides no benefit at all.

u don't understand what i mean... hitting in the head/spine would kill with 1shot, while hitting in the arm wouldn't maybe after some time of bleeding with its serious.

WoW isn't meant to be realistic, it functions as a deliberate abstraction of how real combat works. Mostly due to the fact that implementing magic in any kind of realistic system is asking for trouble.
