    Mormon.org on the front page.

I know the site has to advertise and all but isn't advertising a religion the bounds of trying to convert people? Is that really OK for curse to throw at folks on an MMO forum? That opens the door for any kinda of religious advertisement rite? I have no issue with Mormons, I just don't agree with that on the front page. Well I also wouldn't agree with an army recruiting banner either so maybe its just me. What do you think?`

I agree. An MMORPG forum is not a good place for any religion to proselytize, even if they are paid ads.
For one, I would say that most people on this forum aren't in the market for a new one. (Or one at all.)

The ads aren't chosen by MMO-Champion; oftentimes they're dictated by your previous surfing history. If you don't like an ad, report it and move on.

Well here in the US we have something called freedom of religion so I don't see the problem with it, if you don't agree with it, and will not convert for sure, then why do you care?

no halmotors... im getting them to and i have not done anything mormon related i assure you

I don't really care what you call me, you can even call me cold...

Almost half the adds on this site are dictated upon what you have either googled, or what sites you have visited recently...

For me, I get adds about Newegg.com and other Computer-related website.

Google is responsible for the ads. Not MMO-Champion. If you don't like an ad, report it. If you don't like ads at all, get AdBlock for FireFox.

    Couple problems here:

Not everyone is from the US
The owner of this site is not a US citizen, iirc
Free of speech stops when you go to a privately owned forum, ie mm-champion forums.

Freedom of speech isn't a "say anything anywhere!" clause like people think it is, especially online...

Sorry, but that's the way it works. Blame Google Analytics.

If you don't like a type of ad, go here: http://www.google.com/ads/preferences

Then you can configure the ads to your heart's content.

Generally these adds are based on stuff you have recently Googled.. When I purchased my Toms, I had Toms adverts for a couple weeks. When I purchased my Fred Perry polos, I had Fred Perry adverts for a couple weeks.

Have you Googled anything related to Mormonism in the past few weeks?

The most hilarious thing was I saw a Christian Dating site while on a porn site.

I thought everyone was using Adblock Plus and NoScript these days. If you aren't, you should.

Yeah I thought Adblock Plus and NoScript were more common than this! You mean there are ads on this web site? Huh.

And at the risk of being devil's advocate, you're hurting MMO's revenue while doing that. (Incoming "LOL CURSE PAYS THEM U STUPID DUMBASS SUCK UP")

Whitelist certain sites. I do it for MMO-C and other favorite sites of mine while leaving it alone otherwise.

Either way, it's just an advertisement. The way I look at it is I'm bombarded with this crap while on television, yet I don't call the network and complain - why should I complain to Curse or MMO?

Except on the TV you can't install a add on to your cable box that removes commercials. I am all for adblock and No script.

How on earth are u hurting mmo's revenue? I disabled the ads because i didnt plan to buy anything they advertised, no matter what it was, so no matter if the ads were there or not, they wouldn't gain anything.

EDIT: and ur not complaining to curse or mmo, they're not responsible for the ads, they sell adspace and while im not sure i guess they get paid no matter if people disable they're ads or not.
