Not quite.
The faster you eat, the more you are likely to eat before you feel sated. If your portion is predetermined like at McD (and also if you don't order a 2nd time), you gain just as much weight if you eat fast or slow.
But, with fast eating, you may feel the need to eat another meal, sooner.
Anyway, OT:
McD fries: who cares. taste like crap anyway, probably more than one at a time.
Steak / Belgian fries: one at a time, to better saviour the taste.
Always in pairs, unless i have much sauce left, then i might do 1 at a time. But generally speaking i dip 2 at a time.
3 factors: how hungry i am, how hot the fries are and if im in a rush.
Oh and in most cases i eat them in the german curry style way where they are mixed and fried with chopped sausages and served with curry and curry ketchup. in that case it comes down to how many fries and sausages the fork can obtain in a plate stab.
3-4, easily. One at a time? You'll barely even notice that you ate something, wtf. Pick up 3, jam them in sauce, put in mouth. It's simple, how can 63 people fail at it?
depends on the fries.
american fast food french fries are very skinny/thin and you generally need to grab 2-4 at a time.
british chips i'd eat one at a time
I think most Americans consider that "playing with your food".
The real question is, squishy fries or crunchy ones?
I can't eat one at a time, I get too excited and then put 8 in at once. Better to take 3-4 at a time for a nice steady pace
one by one, elitist girls
Not only that, but I put ketchup on them like toothpaste (along each fry or group of 2 fries)
Cripes people, is Mc Donalds the ONLY friggin place you guys eat at? I can probably list off a dozen or more restaurants that serve fries off the top of my head, and that's not inlcuding any local 'mom and pop' places.
I don't eat fast food. Like, at all. Well, maybe the occasional Taco Bell, but that's like a once a year thing. I DO, however, make my own fries. Nice, thick-sliced steak fries. Those you definitely eat one at a time :-)
