Yeah, I can easily see it's not 470mm.
Mine is a laptop but configured it (CTO) : HP Pavillion DV6000 Model
• Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
• 2nd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2670QM (2.2 GHz, 6MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 3.1 GHz
• 2GB Radeon(TM) HD 6770M GDDR5 Graphics [HDMI, VGA]
• 8GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
• 15.6" Full HD HP Anti-glare LED (1920 x 1080)
• Blu-ray player & SuperMulti DVD burner
• Standard Keyboard with numeric keypad
All together around $875.00
1280x1024 monitor
Intel Pentium dual core E6600 3.06GHz
1.5 GB DDR2
160 GB HDD
HD 5670 as video card
I doubt you need to know the rest. It's so old that names hold no relevance. Still, it does its job, so I have no reason to complain.
I tested that last night and its a 265mm fan. The 470 was just a guess and yes my entire computer is under 630$ because of all the newegg promotions. The GPU has 50$ off each and the processor was 40$ off at microcenter, the MotherBoard had 30$ off MIB plus all the MIB that came with the GPU to. So I saved a lot of money because of the promotions.
Just bought a new monitor. Futureshit had a HP 25 inch 1920x1080 3ms monitor on sale for 200 dollars so I went and splurged. It dwarfs my 22 inch Samsung, but I am impressed with how nice the picture quality is for such a cheap monitor. It got good reviews as well which is what drove me to buy it next to the price.

I've got a few planned purchases, but I'm pretty satisfied with this rig. I feel like I want to spend money on it, so I don't have to say I have some generic Dell motherboard, but to be entirely honest, there's nothing wrong with my build in terms of performance. It's great. ^^
Getting a Microsoft Sidewinder X4 and a desktop sized mousepad off of Amazon here soon.
Got it about two months before I joined this forum. >_< Did research after I arrived here, began sobbing pathetically as I realized I wasted a significant portion of money. Anyway, it's a learning process. I'm now trying to decide between two wall mounted Dell UltraSharps or saving up for computer components.
What's the deal with that RAM, Fuzzy? :> No matter how I spin it around in my head, it looks like only 3 sticks of RAM? What happend to dual channel!?
i5-2300s have not even been out for a year yet... almost, but not quite. =S

I'm going to bet he meant to say 2x1GB. :P So it would be 4 DIMM slots filled, 2 with 1GB modules, 2 with 2GB modules.
Yeah, everything in Canada is horribly overpriced. It's either buy it in store or buy it online and get raped on the shipping charges, I picked the more convenient of two evils. Newegg hurts you on shipping charges here, so even if you get a discount, the shipping plus taxes pretty much puts them on par with Futureshop's pricing after taxes and in store pick up.
And NCIX really isn't any better, for a 2ms 25 inch Asus monitor, it's 280 without taxes or shipping so even if I bought it in store, which I would in reality have to spend about 15 dollars on gas to drive there and back, I think I got my monitor for a steal.
I booted up a few games like Metro 2033 and Rage and they run phenomenally at 1080p on my 6870 with near max settings though, I really do like this screen quite a bit.
