    Nerfs ftw!

Shadow Bolt damage has been reduced by 29%.
Soul Harvest no longer regenerates soul shards.

    Demonology

Hand of Gul'dan had damage reduced by 25%.
Mastery: Master Demonologist had damage increase by 50%.
Metamorphosis: Chaos Wave had damage reduced 23%.
Metamorphosis: Demonic Slash had damage reduced 17%.
Metamorphosis: Doom had damage reduced by 20%. Now has an additional effect: When Doom critically strikes, a Wild Imp will be summoned to attack the target.
Soul Fire had damage reduced by 38%.

It seems they will continue nerf Demonology into the ground, tbh I don't care if they do such thing... I only hope that they let us a strong spec to compete with the other classes on PVE. I played Demonology on Firelands and Dragon Soul almost all the time, would be nice if they make affliction the strongest spec, or Destruction even.

It's beta. Numbers are going to get tweaked both ways, and often.

Big nerf. It's just a rebalancing of output between stances.

That said, I do wonder why they're putting so much effort into the numbers when the mechanics seem so bad.

Read the actual tooltip and not just the short summary next time. Soul Harvest is being changed to regenerate shards, which it doesn't on the current build.

    You know why.

They give back 13.8% passive damage taken reduction to DA. I have hope they repair mastery in DA and problem with freezes. I miss tanking warlock.

How can you miss something you never had?

If by "never" you're not counting the very early portion of the beta .. then, yeah, "never".

It's funny they give back the old DA reduction, even with no one being able to test the 3.8% version.
Looks like the previous nerf was a mistake, or they just have no idea what to do with that spell.

We could already tank the new MoP dungeons with the buggy DA at 0% reduction, so if that version is now working, we'll have around 17-20% passive reduction, they'll realize it's clearly too OP/not intended and nerf it again.

Hmm, yeah more like something you were never supposed to have.

But I guess you can miss that...

My biggest concern is that we'll end up with a number of awkward gimmicks combined with a mediocre damage output compared to what other DPS classes are dishing out.

    What do you think?
How long will beta process last? (Now, they spent up to 2 months.)

I really hope Warloks don't end up being a "Black Sheep" of the Clothie DPS. Warlocks are so much fun to play, and I absolutely LOVE Demonology. Here's hoping.. :/

I think this comes with beta process... but i cannot stop from noticing that they increased SB damage like couple weeks ago by 30% so that it can keep up with shadowcleave if we forced to range instead of staying close. And now they are nerfing back 28% does not make so much sense to me.
