Mmo-Champion's I need your help,
Like the title says I need help with my Windows computer. This is my first Tower PC, I have always used Mac computers in the past so I am lost and need help. So firstly I will explain my basic information than the problem:
Basic Information:
I got this 2-3 year old computer off a friend and I have had it for about 2 weeks. I know just the basics when maintaining and fixing a Windows machine so I have tried all I know. I told this friend about my problems and he said he's never had any problems with the PC before, and nothing even remotely similar to my current problem (he used only 1 40'' TV display, compared to my current setup of 2 monitors 24'' and 20''). So dead end there. I think I know what the problem is but I will let you guys make that decision. (I think it has something to do with the Display Refresh and running off the same video card) I could not figure out a way to run a monitor off of each video card.
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Processor AMD Athlon™ IIX4 620 Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.6GHz
Memory: 4096 RAM
Video: ATI Radeon HD4800 Series x2
Wireless Card: Linksys WMP600N Wireless-N PCI Adapter with Dual-Band (I Think)
Displays: 1920x1080 (32 bit) (30Hz) and 1366 x 768 (32 bit) (60Hz)
The monitors as of right now are connected to the top Video Card and I have them set as multiple displays "extended". I know nothing about displays or setting but they are both on their max resolution. The only thing which seems weird from overlooking the displays is the Hz different? Does that affect anything, can I change that?
Problem:
Over the last 2 weeks I have had 7-9 Blue Screens. I have never seen the blue screens happen until I was actually talking to a friend today on skype about this problem. From my quick glimpse at the blue screen before the restart it said something about Display Driver Error? (also said something about driver error before the crash ) Which makes me believe it has something to do with the monitors. This also makes sense because most of the blue screens (crashes) seem to happen during night time when the displays are off or inactive.
Everything is updated on the computer from what I can find or have been able to find.
Fix:
Any suggestions or idea what I can do to solve this problem?
Off Topic Problem:
I also have been having a weird problem with my wireless internet. I sit around 3-5 bars on average from where my computer sits in my room. No problems or even any increase or decrease speed from my knowledge. However, randomly the wireless will drop to 1 bar and all the internet will stop. (This can happen and range from once a day to once an hour) (meanwhile MacBook laptop is fine with internet and does not have any problems) So it's not a internet problem, so it has to be something with the wireless card?
To fix the problem currently all I have to do is disconnect and reconnect and internet is back up and running fine.
I am on school internet with something like 50GB down and 25GB up and I also have no access to change anything on the wireless router that supplies internet. (almost thinking about going Ethernet to solve problem + WTB 30ft Ethernet lol)
Conclusion:
I thank you in advance for any and all feedback and all of it will be greatly appreciated.
