The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities.
"Can the President Kill Indiscriminately?"
hmm...
I'll be locking my windows tonight just in case he decides to creep through my bedroom window with a meatcleaver...
Was kind of waiting for that remark, the problem is we only have a just cause if we combat them by those rules and not theirs.
It is the same as saying "criminals dont obey laws", then why have laws at all?
It is pretty simple, it is a safe guard for us not to end up at their level.
But soon after Mr Xi secured a third term, Apple released a new version of the feature in China, limiting its scope. Now Chinese users of iPhones and other Apple devices are restricted to a 10-minute window when receiving files from people who are not listed as a contact. After 10 minutes, users can only receive files from contacts.
Apple did not explain why the update was first introduced in China, but over the years, the tech giant has been criticised for appeasing Beijing.

but doesn't killing indiscriminately mean to pull out all stops ie. bomb most of the city to get one single target?

There is a good commedy performance on military ufanisms, you should watch it
Dead children in todays war on terror are easily dismissed as collateral damage, enemies with rights as illegal combatants without rights, torture as enchanced interrogation etc etc etc. It is sad and pathetic but hey, politicians get to tell their voters american lives are saved (which noone can check even if the agree with the tradeoff).
