    So D.C. released the first video for the Supegirl TV-series coming this fall.

    I have mixed feelings about this to be honest. On one hand it seems really cheesy and it's filled with clichés. On the other hand, Supergirl is really cool, and I like that it's not just a carbon copy of Arrow or The Flash.

    Looks interesting, but also feels like they are trying a bit too hard in some areas.

    I mean it has basically all the stupid tropes; she's a beautiful single woman, unlucky in love and not all that confident, but she's also an executive assistant to a high powered female executive in the publishing world!

    I really don't think that most of that is all that required. Give her a job that's NOT in publishing, lose the irrational lack of confidence, cut back on the 2+ love interests and manic-pixie-dreamgirl.

    Other than that I think it could be an interesting story and I'm looking forward to how they tell it.

    This looks very bad but I guess there is a market for it since there are also people out there that seem to like Arrow or Flash, shich I personally both can't stand to watch.

    Nothing wrong with that, while the S wasn't originally a kryptonian thing in the comics, it has been here and there since the '70s.

    Anyway, while the trailer looked a little cheesy, it seems fun enough. The Flash is cheesy as hell too and also has a bunch of the same clichés, so I'm not seeing all the Supergirl hate from Flash fans.

    I understand they want a love interest.

    I understand they want a suave ripped black guy.

    I understand they want Jimmy Olsen in...

    But why do all three have to be the same guy? I'm fine with Jimmy being there, I'm fine with him being a love interest, I'm fine with them having a suave ripped black guy, I'm fine with HIM being the love interest...

    By why does Jimmy Olsen have to be the suave ripped love interest? Are we not allowed the have a nerdy Jimmy as the love interest? Do the exec's think that people won't buy Kara falling for a nerd (even though from that trailer, she seems pretty nerdy herself)?
