    Replacing current motherboard

My computer's motherboard recently just died. It is a dell xps 8500 I upgraded parts to and transplanted about a year ago.

Long story short I was wondering if I should even bother trying to just replace the motherboard, or if I should bite the bullet and upgrade the CPU and motherboard. If I go that far should I upgrade my ram too?

For reference sake the CPU is the I7-3770 and it has 16gb ram.

    Just looking for opinions. Thanks.

A new CPU will not make a noticeable difference for you so I would just get a new motherboard and carry on.

This, and if you chose to use the new skylake you'll be upgrading memory as well.

3770k still has alot of life to it.

Check warehouse deals on amazon and newegg.

It is not K processor. Nonetheless it still is good piece so keep it.

One thing thouh make sure that it actually is your motherboard that died, would be shame to waste money on mobo only to find out it was faulty psu or badly resocketed ram or cpu
