That assumes that a "soul" is a form of energy, which is not supported by any current science.

A bit of a stretch, although it depends on your definition of 'reincarnation'. At most our corpses could be converted into compost so our remaining 'life' is distributed to create other 'life'. In fact, I definitely remember reading about such programs.

The flaw with that theory of yours is that we have something called a "soul" to begin with, something that has never been measured or proven and only found in fiction.
