"New" Tauren Skins with Tattoos

So I know someone already posted about this, but this is an update, sorta... I'm not sure if anyone has pointed this out yet, but these skins:

Which people believed had one of three purposes. The first was the new Sunwalker (Tauren Paladins) specific skins (which is unlikely, since the only class with unique skins was Death Knights), new tauren warpaint cosmetic (which was also unlikely because the paint was only with one skin color), and the final was a new NPC skin for Grimtotems.

Well last night while turning in the shield quest that you get in Dalaran and turn in at Thunderbluff, I clicked on the Grimtotem body guards, I was about to leave when I noticed their icons looked a little strange, so I investigated and this is what I found.





Now, this doesn't 100% confirm the fact that it is only an NPC skin, but it shows a high chance. (Atleast in my opinion)

Did anyone else notice on the Scrolls of Legends post that the lighter portion of fur near the hands and hooves is colored the same as the warpaint?

You can open WowModel Viewer and see several different skins of tattoo'd Tauren.

Different colored war paint, yes. Different tauren fur color? No.

There has been Tattoo's for different NPC's. There is one in Borean, an orc, wich is Tattoo'd. I doubt its part of his armor. I think they will still be in NPC's and not for Players, but we'll see.

We do have the datamined info of the Grimtotem gaining somekind of influence.

There was some datamined npc's of dead TB gaurds and Grimtotem people

I'm thinking each faction should get a "special feature" during character creation the Horde's being Warpaint and the Alliance being..i don't know lol.

I thought that these Tattoo's were only going on the Grimtotem in Cataclysm.
