I've heard a lot of people say that too much stair climbing is really bad on your knees and I'm sure long-term it really is, but short-term the endurance and strength that rucksacking has been giving me is incredible. My legs were always very thick and muscled but now they're really starting to get well defined by all the rucksacking.
For me, American football was worse for my knees than any exercise I've done since I stopped playing. I wrecked my right knee playing football. Makes a squishy sound every time I go up stairs, lol
