If we lived in a world without Kung Fu Panda, this would probably get much better reception.
Bah. Who am I kidding. The haters would find something else to cry about.
Excellent cinematic imo. Gets the message accross that Pandaren are total badasses when they need to be, getting the job done, but like to enjoy life as well.
Like every other trailer in Wow this is great but will be forgotten once we start grinding through the game next month. How many still watch the old trailers every month. Its a nice intro and gets us excited. Thats all that matters, isnt it?
The people who are going to close off their minds and hate the pandaren no matter what will say the cinematic sucked. They're not going to take anything with a pandaren and give it a chance. They're convinced they're too cool and too adult for them, despite the multitude of other animal people they've embraced in WoW.
The cinematic was fantastic. Best so far on CGI quality.
As far as grounded, it definitely was. No super powered beings flying and throwing magic. Just mortals fighting as they always have. The couple of subtle additions of humor worked well too.
Not sure why ppl dislike this cinematic this is very blizzard like it has humor bit of seriousness and jackie chan fighting for sayign you wanted a more serious cinematic than this game isnt for you id geuss.
Love reading the posts from people who seem to take some sort of pride in disliking whatever Blizzard does
More often than not they mostly post in the GW2 forum as well, go figure. LOL
I can name good and not-so-good things about every cinematic, but there will always be these lowly ones who can never say anything but "This sucks, X was better". How sad to be unable to appreciate anything new!
As always the art direction is stunning, but compared to the power and sheer scale of the previous cinematics, it was terrible. Where's the WAR in Warcraft, not the "human and orc getting their asses kicked by one lone Pandaren"?
Disappointing.
I thought it was very powerful.
Orc vs. Human in their traditional costuming from the RTS games.
Naval battle reminiscing WC2:ToD.
Initial Darkness tying into the mists covering the Pandaria.
The mists dissipating revealing the island and all its beauty.
The Pandaren fixing the relic, while comical, shows there nature to preserve history.
The whole cinematic felt like and exploration and discovery of Pandaria with nods to Alliance and Horde wanting to kill each other. I think it was perfect.
I really love at last we are back to adventure as in the first World of Warcraft intro
and Chen was both fun and badass.

Still no Gnomes.. Thanks to the new race as a big addition to wow, Blizzard was forced to put some humor and pandaren, but in the end, they only care about big muscle and green macho men. Not cool, fun, lovely weird or fantasy crazy stuff.
Well, that cg is beautiful, full of colors, the fight was a joy to see.
Agreed!
I think the very first cinematic of an expansion should have been more impressive. Maybe releasing this as second or third cinematic would be more appropriate.
I was laughing so much when the Alliance guy handed that stick to the Orc... totally dumb-struck. It was such an awesome funny moment.
I loved the monk fighting.
And I loved when the camera finally zoomed across that beautiful landscape towards the end. So so so beautifully done. Brought a tear to my eye and made me smile all over my face.
