I'm willing to bet that 99% of the things you people are bitching about would've changed no matter who the lead designer was. The game wouldn't have frozen itself in amber in 2008 and refused to adapt just because the big evil GC didn't come along. Use your damn brains.

^this, so much this.. people need to stop it, and grow up. frankly, he's brought the game to a wider audience, with his team and the great ideas the staff have put together.

I'm actually worried where WoW will go from here, and if it will ever appeal to me again. (WOD doesn't interest me much, with no class or race)

I'm sad to see him go. Throughout my time here, Ghostcrawler has been a staple. We always knew where to aim our anger and frustration when our classes were nerfed into oblivion, but we also knew that he was strong enough to take it, and dish it back out in turn without it phasing him. We will all miss you, Greg. Best of luck wherever life takes you.

It upsets me.

It upsets me that the one guy who tried to connect to his audience the most is leaving. It upsets me even more that I feel that, somewhere along his decision-making, he left partly because he'd had enough of being the face-man for Blizzard and having to put up with so much shit from the fans who ultimately believe -- even to this day -- that he was the sole proprietor of what happens to WoW.

Even now people bash GC and say "good riddance" and "now WoW will be good again". It's a damn shame that retarded people like them like to sit in blissful ignorance and think that everything Blizz done was in the name of Ghostcrawler, not even realising -- or perhaps WANT to realize -- that everything Blizz had done has been because of a collective agreement, and not because of one man.

Ultimately, I give my best regards to Greg and hope that wherever he goes next he'll find a better fanbase to talk with. And I feel absolutely bad for the person who will take his place. My guess it being Tom Chilton.

I have criticised wow for many many years. And rightfully so! GC is the only dev that actually listened to players concerns. I came back to the game because he had indeed listened. Is the game perfect, god no. Is it better then its been oh ya. Imho the game is a lot better now then before. But then he did preside over the last expansion which was incredibly bad, and this expansion thats just starting to get good. So its a mixed bag.

My only concern is that the new lead devs will not listen to the angry people(me) and start making the content exclusive, boring, and even more unbalanced. Here is hoping that blizzard does not put a dumbass in charge. Better to deal with the devil you know then the devil you dont know.

Goodluck to you GC, sorry you did not have enough will power to fix enhancement shaman properly but noone is perfect. This current expansion is chalk full of amazing wisdom, I cant believe its in a game. Boggles the mind.
