Wildstar Developer Carbine Studios Shutting Down
Carbine Studios, the developer behind Wildstar, has shut down according to Kotaku. The studio will begin the process to shut down the game. Purchases made after July 1, 2018 in game will be refunded.

    Very sad to see Carbine go. I only wish they would release the source code so the community could take it over. Instead, all that development would simply go to waste.

    I think it fits her perfectly...shows what she'd look like if she was made more realistically as opposed to her being a corpse who seems to get healthier as time passes on and no bust for people to drool over.

    whelp, pour one out for my wildstar character.
    let this be a lesson, have end game ready at launch or die, if people no longer have a goal they no longer keep playing and once that momentum is lost it's very hard to bottle that lightning again.

    Everyone called bloody everything a wow killer and if it didn't then it was a bad game....

    People are idiots.

    Loads of great MMOs outside of WoW and sadly there are people with this "WoW is the only MMO and fuck everything else" mentality.

    FF14, GW2, ESO and a few others.

    But this whole "wow killer" shit is silly. As I said. Plenty of great games outside of WoW and have a healthy population.

    Was actually a cracking game at the start.

    NMT is when it went to shit. Devs started going full on cash grab with crap like putting a gear slot behind a paywall or heavy ingame grind.

    Recent expansion they just gave up in favour of a progression server which ironically tanked.

    Still a sad news. Wildstar had some great art and gameplay. Even if the thing was a mess.
