Comic: Fall of King's Crest

Honestly lots of good replies/stuff here so I kinda think it makes them on the right track. Has us all talking.

Look at the Mephisto thread. I'm really surprised by it. He's someone I knew nothing about but I saw him requested so much in so many places, even Pallytime vid comments. We finally got him and it seems no one was that impressed? Or rather, he wasn't impressive enough to warrant conversation? We've already reached more in this one. I dunno but I think that answers why it's ok to have other Nexus lore/heros to some degree and not always use existing ones/universes. We have 80 something now from them I think but really can't remember. It isn't like we are lacking.

So I think that leads to the more interesting stuff like what kind of hero would Raven Lord be seeing as we have Medivh and what would Lady's spells be etc. And I'd love more about Blackheart too. But, I even like Count Chocula so what do I know. He makes cereal more fun, I don't care what you say. It doesn't have to be prose to be good. Calvin and Hobbes would be like 5 pics and 3 words each but still amazing overall. We live in a world where Twilight became an empire. Even Grubby said it's his like fav read for a vacation.

One can make the argument that people are more likely to speak up if they are upset with something than if they are happy or content with it. As such, I'm not sure the amount of discussion generated by a character announcement can be used as a means of measuring excitement for that character, especially if the discussion is equal parts negative in tone.

Eh the number of posts in a thread arent really indicative. Especially when people post more when theres controversary rather than satisfaction. Mepishto kicks a great deal of ass in game.

Yeah Smash Bros had Master Hand, but he was just some boss that showed up at the end of single player mode, there was no real narrative or story there, and we got Super Mario and Zelda and etc-themed stages and not MASTER HAND'S TOWERZ OF DOOM and shit. Final Destination exists, but it's just a neutral stage in mechanics and aesthetics so you can't really use it as an example.

Brawl had the SubSpace Emissary thing, but again, aside from the final villain (who only shows up for 2 seconds at the very, very end of the whole thing) everything is 100% existing IP-themed (except the enemies, I guess).

Anyways there's no comparison. HotS made the really stupid decision to make the first maps all "Nexus Themed", and have since realized what a dumb idea it was and now all we're getting is Warcraft/Starcraft/Diablo/Overwatch themed maps. If they want to have this lame ass uninspired Raven Lord guy doing boring shit, the least they can do is take a page out of Smash Bros and make it background noise instead of failing to create a new IP that almost zero people give a fuck about.

Oh is it. I wasn't sure, more just posting the question. I'll certainly take your guys word for it as I knew nothing of him. Just thought it odd no one seemed to want to talk about him after being requested so much. I don't go to other places like Reddit either so I get most of my aggregate info from here. I played Warcraft in classic and knew this as a Blizzard site mainly so the only forums I see are these and my only impressions for how people feel about Blizzard stuff is from here I guess.
