Shadowlands Pre-Patch Data Now Available for Download
Shadowlands Pre-Patch data is now available for download in the Blizzard Battle.net App! If you have already installed Shadowlands PTR or Beta then you won't have to download all the files again since the client automatically shares the data on disk.

What's the likelihood that we'll get the pre-patch on September 22nd?

    The week after that probably.

I doubt they'd only give 1 week after sending out their times running out emails. Probably 2 weeks till prepatch so september 29th.

That would be nice. I wouldn't mind an extra week of prepatch so long as it means that corruption is gone lol

They still gotta announce the end of the PvP season, which typically carries a 2 week warning.

It's worded silly on mmo-champ, but you just don't download EVERYTHING again, there is still a small patch.

Nice. Hopefully not a long wait then!

Is there a way to change the folder the launcher downloads the patch? I don't have much space on my ssd, was probably around 15~20gb and it used everything and still not done...

It downloads it to the default install location - unless you change where WoW is installed then you can’t.

It’s basically game data, so no difference than any other part of WoW that’s installed. It’s not a temporary amount of data - it’s basically the expansion.

0% chance. Pre-patches are typically 4 weeks long and they usually give 2 reset warning. Earliest would be September 29th/30th.

Damn, did you see how big the patch was so I can try and clear enough space for it.

technically they are separate games; just like PTR is different from retail

Yes but that would have to be announced tonight for it to be the 2 weeks lol, so that logic is out the window. I think 22nd is still possible.
