Both dranei and blood elf females are a little too different to the art for my tastes. The dreanei, being eredar, have this sort of 'regal' look to them in art but in game they look like something from ratchett and clank. Then you have the blood elf women that in art have figures like lara croft, curvy but athletic, but in game have the figure of a crack ridden celebutard.

I dont think they are over the top and 'insulting', but they are certainly a "first expansion" level design that really kind of blows when you see modern models and stuff that actually looks like the artwork.

When I think of Demoness I think of a sexy, seductive Succubus type of chick. I've never envisioned female demons differently, but to each their own. Realistically I don't think Draenei's even existed in lore prior to their existence in the game. I don't recall reading about them, or seeing artwork of them prior to The Burning Crusade, so if anything it's the Artist's renditions of them which are not accurate.

Not sure if serious? Never heard a man say he won't group with male characters because they make males look good to women. Such insecurity we only hear from women, it's kinda poisonous hysterical running in circles mentality, women are really the worst enemy of women.

No, ingame they look just right, the size of your horns look out of place. When creatures get hit by fel energies they change appearance and some things grow n loook more aggressive...like red orcs with huge teeth. Also, your tails look too big. They need to be visually different than common demonic creatures, even though they have similar features, otherwise they won't look like good guys that they are. So that's why they are scaled down.

Absolutely not; incomprehensible as it is to the internet's resident band of motley feminists/SJWs that a female can be sexy and effeminate, shock horror. I wonder if Blizzard implemented Troggs as a race, with all their "natural beauty", if these people would be happy. That said, OP's avatar is a Night Elf female; a mere stone's throw away from Draenei females. If they were serious, they'd be playing a Dwarf/Worgen female or something equally...err...respectful to females.

No, draenei had these demonic-seeming features even when still Eredar of Argus (non-man'ari Eredar) so the artwork is in fact the more legit one. The only difference between man'ari eredar and draenei is the skin color and eyecolor. (possibly red skin and fel green eyes)

I agree, the portrayal of female draenei in this game is insulting...so is the portrayal of male draenei... this is largely because if not for a massive retcon that went as far as to change the cause of sargeras turning evil THE ONLY DRAENEI WOULD BE THE BROKEN!!!! they had no LINK to eredar until blizz couldn't think of a race that would make sense for alliance back in BC, they had no real reason to be anything more than the (admittedly deformed looking) draenei you saw from WC3 frozen throne until BC and now there's complaints that they aren't pretty in the right way? be glad they aren't flat chested with faces that look like they've been flattened by a steamroller. that said, no offense meant but it's a fantasy game which (USUALLY) avoids the "the less it covers the more it protects" tradition of the genre...as portraying female characters goes it could be much worse.
...at this point it's almost guaranteed that "war in warcraft" is garrosh getting on his incompetent podium to declare yet another group his enemy for the crime of breathing his air, alliance saying this is horde favoritism, and the more....special....yes.. let's go with special... horde players seeing garrosh as a god because he lets them attack the alliance players who keep saying that out being led by a moron is horde favoritism.

I wonder though if they will include the BC races in the new race models they are doing. I definitely can see them saying that they are only going to redo the vanilla races models. I really hope they do update both blood elf and draenei as they are both some of my favorite races in game.

I think you may need to take a break from rule 34 warcraft art.

They have already said they will include the TBC races in the update. Only Pandaren, goblins and worgen won't get an update. Funny enough, goblin and pandaren models will be the most outdated after that, with way less bones in the face.

Sadly, the model updates won't mean anything to those who want a better depiction in game. Blizzard has said they want to retain the feel of the old model. Giving it different, more exotic faces, horns and longer tails would sadly, be too big of a change, I feel. Besides, too many people who want 100% prettyraces.

The majority of art designs and lore are off from what we get in-game as far as playable races are, It's a shame in some cases but I've decided not to be too nit picky.

True, but it's still pretty jarring that they would give us an alien race, just to make it seems like a pretty azerothian race cosplaying like an alien. It's not insulting or anything, and I won't talk about it being misogynistic, because that's silly.

But it is disappointing to me.

Given the fact that they look like watered down ripoff of daemonettes from warhammer i wouldnt consider this deciption insulting at all.

Manfaces? That -has- to be exaggeration. Just because they don't have animu babyfaces doesn't mean they have manfaces. ._.

Soon old races will get new looks, so it might be better.

    Draenei female are fine.

Except for the awkward way they wear shoulderpads on.
