Staying on a dead server was never doing to work.

My server is (beyond) dead and has yet to be slated for a realm merge that we know of. Some people from a high pop server transferred to it to specifically take advantage of being able to get and hold the titles, ostensibly until they were made permanent. Joke's on them, I guess, lol.

What a bunch of shit. Our group worked our butts off to beat all the realm best times and make them very hard to beat again by anyone else. Dedicated many 3-4 hour nights twice a week to make sure we kept the titles. Now I have no desire to do them at all. Horrible idea, I'm sure many groups that had plans to keep pushing for realm bests will just stop now too. Way to take away the incentive to compete...

That is indeed what it sounds like. While a bit of an odd turn, it's not completely nonsensical (and also only revealed when it's confirmed they go account-wide) given the relative lack of difficulty of the silver ones -- if you got silver on one character, it's very difficult to imagine you couldn't do it three more times, making this more of a time saver than anything else.

Seems to me they spend most of their time telling us what they're removing from the game not what they're adding. And what they are adding is laughable. Only 3 dungeons when we're leveling from 90 to 100.

^ This seems to make the most sense. Hopefully they reconsider; it would be a pretty good idea to keep them in so people can have fun things to still accomplish while we wait around aimlessly.

I would assume because the exact cut-off time would be rather nebulous and different for some servers/x-realm groups. To save themselves the QQ storm of "but we were almost world best time when the servers shut off!," they figured they'll just nix em entirely.

The title was stated before hand to be a TEMPORARY title. No one has a right to be angry. If they wanted to release them, it should go to everyone who has completed Gold in the individual challenge.

Checked the comments just to see all the ranting and raving and 'WOW is dead' comments and was not disappointed! And I really just do not understand how the mount wording is confusing. If you have Silvers on one character, all four mounts will be account wide and in your mount page when the patch goes live. It's not hard people.

The titles would only be lost if times were beaten, me and my group have worked our asses off to beat some of the absolute best times in the world to get our titles on, our hunter has 105 tortos LFR kills to get the right bracers, I have over 70 twin consorts kills to get the right bracers as a monk (still don't have the right ones neither one of us), we've put down so much time on farming rares for all the shit you use in speed runs (banners, battle horns, amber thingy for CC etc), we've spent an infinite amount of gold on drums of speed & darkwater potions (none of us really have time to farm it so we have to buy the shit off the AH) and now we finally secured our realm best titles by completely annihilating any competition on the server that we once had, and they announce this.. Yeha, thanks blizz, would like 3 months of my life back.

I don't think its fair to remove those titles from people who worked hard to earn them, let them keep them. No, I am not an owner of one, but it still doesn't make sense to remove them from my perspective.

It actually totally make sense... The title is for being the first of the current race. If their is no race their is no first. What's the point of having this title when nobody can challenge you ? To brag "lol I was lucky enough to be the first when patch released" ?

People who fight for the title NOW don't care to maintain it. They will fight for the WOD title.

The titles have been out since 5.4, there has been plenty of time for people to work and beat times that hold the current titles. I currently hold 9/9 realm best titles on 2 realms, 1 realm has 2 other teams and the other realm has one other team to compete against, however, as I previously mentioned, we put down so much time and money on this that we completely annihilated the competition we had (on the realm with 2 competing teams) that they haven't even gotten close to beat our new times, which include a lot of top 10-20 world timers, and on the other realm we haven't really try-harded that much, we got the titles, they beat our times after 4-5 months, we went back in and got them all back in 2 days.

So it doesn't really make sense in removing these titles. These are the rank 1 gladiator titles of PvE this expansion really. I mean, every other FoS title still excists on those accounts (death's demise, grand crusader, conqueror of naxxramas, etc).

I would like to hear their actual reasoning for removing the titles.

I'd rather have them remove my hellscream's downfall / fearless / storm's end titles in 6.0 than the realm #1 titles that I only have access to on 1 char.

You are way exaggerating what it takes to get these titles, if you fought on your current realm and your current realm had some of the best in the world then you were fighting for times not titles, there are tons of realms out there where with a non-optimal comp and barely any effort in gear will get you the achievements and titles. Grats you have your title now enjoy it but obviously if the titles were all you were going for there were way better ways to go about it, spending 3 months of your life doing this was your decision to aim for the times on that specific realm.
