Spoiler Alert: They don't wanna have to spend more money for using more bandwidth. Because of this, the people (and they are a massive %) that only do basic things like email and/or facebook to check on family are paying needlessly large sums of money for internet. They are, in essence, subsidizing the big boy sites. So yes... I think Net Neutrality should go away, and when companies want to use more resource they should pay more for it. And when people want more of a service they should pay more for it.

NN is, at it's very fucking core, redistribution of bandwidth cost. It is internet socialism. And it is wrong.
This post is so wrong it hurts my brain.

They dont want to pay more blackmail money to vericon, comcast and at&t to not throttle their content. And those few companies can ask for as much money as they want because they have all the power, so of course netflix and co will want to keep NN like 90% of people do.

Also why do people always use the "what about people that only use a tiny amount of internet" THEN HAVE A SMALL DATA/SPEED PLAN AND PAY LESS ALREADY OMG

You didn't read a bit of what I said. I offered concrete proof that things will be worse and you ignored it.

When will all this happen? Give me a time and date and not something where you can move the goalpost when I reply back to you for you having zero understanding of how not having NN works.

It's always worse for the left when government doesn't have it's hands in something. I'm just wondering when the world will end by you guys. It's really exciting to watch.

Probably about 30 days after if the repeal goes through they will start right back to what they were doing with throttling content like Netflix and demanding ransom. Which is gonna be more cost for everyone and more profit for a handful of companies that own utility resources they never invented and were paid for by tax payers.

your speeds and performance will go down and slowly but surely they will start offering premium packages to get back to where you are today. They already were doing this before title 2 slowed them down. They got it turned in 2 years. And you are here defending them and happy to pay more I dont even know what to say to you

I don't find this exciting. I find it upsetting. I live here, it isn't a game. Don't lump me in with the scum that are doing this.

Okay. See you in 30 days. I can eat crow if I'm wrong. I'm highly doubting you'll respond back to me when I post in 30 days when nothing happens. We shall see I suppose.

I just want government out of our lives. I think very little good comes out of big government intervention. At least for the tax paying people anyways. I'm sure people who love to force you to pay high taxes by the point of the government gun is okay with that though.

Well comcast already took down parts of their mission statement saying they would never throttle speeds so they already are open to the idea and are getting ready. But you're hardly likely to listen to any of that mumbo jumbo facts stuff and will just write me off as a "lefty"

Just saw this on youtube. We could definitely save net neutrality if we made an anime of it.

No. I'll eat crow if I'm wrong. I'm sure the slightest change to your internet service will probably send you in a tizzy though, and you'll be like "See it is the end of the world!"

Well when the world is left with 3 companies - Disney, Amazon and ComcastAT&T. You might understand where my frustration comes from

Is it? I am pretty sure that you are able to buy different data plans right now even without any changes, which allow you to pay less if you use less bandwidth. Net Neutrality ensured that your provide cannot differentiate between how bandwidth that is used is being used. Now they can favor one big boy site over another, even if they use the same amount of bandwidth. They can now make you have to buy access to facebook, email and messenger individually, at the same volume of bandwidth.

It's why we should deregulate. Let other people with good ideas who think they can compete with their high prices.

I know, I know. "but what about my big government! What about mah clean air and mah clean water! We need government to regulate the everythings!"

This is why we can't have nice things.

Problem is you cant compete because infrastructure on providing the internet is limited by extreme capital cost required and the space required for it is a gaining consent nightmare. The big boys like comcast and AT&T just lobby you out and shut you down before you can even start anyway. This is proven by them shutting down google fiber.

Google. who has hundreds of millions in capital couldnt get it done, what does that tell you.

Its not just a different hairdressers you can go to, some people only have one or two options with comcast being the provider, This is where you need laws in place to protect customers from monopolies.

Are you an idiot? You realize that when there are minor changes to the internet, being as complex and large as it is, the effects are obvious... When TWC starts throttling my bandwidth and I'm gaming, I can tell instantaneously. I then run tests and can provide evidence of their tampering. It's so clear that when something as widespread as the internet has a minor change, the echo is loud.

Get government out of that shit. No lobbies. However that cats out of the bag with big government, and it isn't going to let go of power if it can help it. Monsters way to hungry.

Tough shit. Go outside and do something with your life if you can't afford to pay for it. No one owes you shit to play video games.

Youtube + Google has been blocking and banning conservative channels and websites from searches for years and NOW all of sudden Liberals care about Net Neutrality which is a regulation itself on ISP's and their monopiles.

You can use other search engines to bypass this. With ISP blocking content you wish to see is a nope. (or vpn to bypass throttling)
    Don't sweat the details!!!

Telling a private company what they can and can't do is a regulation. The food industry has them cause it can kill you, the internet cannot! Ever heard of FREE MARKETS and Captitalism! Its actually a beutiful thing and promotes competition!

Then why do they want NN gone? Or are you here just to spam nonsense you are ignorant about? If you think both situations are comparable, you do not understand either issue.
