    How could Illidan defeat Xe'ra?

The first naaru which came into existence.
Essentially the Light's representation in the Great Dark Beyond. Gets eye-beamed to shits by an upstart night elf.

    How is this even possible?

Illdans power level should have been far below Xe'ra's considering Xe'ra became whole again just before Illidan staring her to death.

Where did you get the information that showed she was super powerful?

We don't really know how powerful Xe'ra is (or Illidan in terms of comparison), but we do know that Xe'ra had been injured enough to send her sentience core through the Fel Storm to Azeroth where we could see it was visibly cracked and damaged. This is exactly where Illidan focuses his power when he eye-blasts Xe'ra during the cut-scene, likely taking advantage of an existing weakness to destroy her.

Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see." ― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead

I got the feeling that she healed fully during the cinematic, but you do have a point.

I like to think of Naaru as glass cannons. Sure, they are extremely powerful, but also extremely fragile.

It's not like Naaru are some unstoppable force. We know they are fragile beings. We have known this since BC. How many have we seen destroyed or corrupted and then destroyed now?

Also Illidan is not some weakling. The amount of power ups hes gotten is a little insane honestly. Even if she was more powerful than him it's not crazy to think she would be weak enough for him to blow her up like he did. Power means nothing if you are fragile like glass.

its simple really he had to destroy xe'ra because the fans all hated her. blizzard granted him that power to appease the players.

Illidan is right now probably one of the strongest characters in the game. (not counting Old Gods, Void Lords and Titans)

I mean, we killed M'uru in BC and Illidan was FAR, FAR stronger than we were at that time (he lost because he was massively weakened at the time and we had help from maiev). Plus, she was probably not at full power there.

Well Naarus are powerful for sure but not super duper powerful. Kael'thas managed to capture one alive in TBC era.

Naaru get rekt so many times in WoW that you can hardly think of them as that powerful. The one in Exodar quest just got stomped on and disappeared. They are very easily destroyed. If I have to guess then I think KJ would easily crush Xe'ra in a straight up fight considering that Illidan, Velen and Khadgar all ganged up on him and still were not able to do anything until the players joined which implies that KJ far exceeded Illidan in power.

Also, just because A destroys B does not really mean A is necessarily stronger than B. Varian destroyed that Fel Reaver who seemed more like a stronger version of the one that killed Ou'ros. That does not mean Varian was stronger than that Fel Reaver. The same was true for Grom and Mannoroth as well.

Agree 100 %.I would add that Naaru seem physically pretty brittle. They can attack with some serious fire power, but their defense sucks.Like someone said before,a true glasscanon.

Don't forget the fact that she literally just came back to life after literally ripping out her heart and lying dead for weeks.

Yeah, but it took an entire army taking M'uru on solo, and in the end he let himself get caught because it was his plan.
The most difficult thing to do is accept that there is nothing wrong with things you don't like and accept that people can like things you don't.
