    Im pregnant vs. We're pregnant

Whenever I hear a woman say "we're pregnant", my thoughts quietly say "no YOU are pregnant"...

Of course I dont say this out loud to anyone but I wanted others take on this.

What do you think of "we're pregnant"? Does it even matter? Why or why not?

    LMAO!!!!

"We're pregnant" seems more...idk...loving and personal? I would expect to hear that from a couple that planned the pregnancy and are happy with each other. The contrary for the other choice.

Legion>WOD btw. Just my 2 cents

    It's a team effort. So, "we're pregnant".

Also, does this really deserve a thread?

This would have made a good George Carlin skit.

WoD made me insanely gold rich so i will say WoD is the best WoW xpac....

Wait what was we talking about?

Oh then Im Pregnant is better cause it makes no sense saying we are both pregnant cause that would make me think both of you have a bun in the oven.

Being pregnant is a state that only women can be in. A husband and wife saying "we're pregnant" conveys that both the man and woman have a baby inside them. Which is just an improper phrase.

Until the day that science goes to far, that is. For now "We're expecting" would be better.

I think it refers to taking a firm solidarity with your spouse. You are both in it together, one flesh and all that.

Either one works, but "We're pregnant" is, to me, more of a statement of faith and trust in your spouse.

Depends on the situation I suppose, and if there's a level of self centeredness to either the mother or father.

Does anything deserve a thread? Why or why not? What qualifies as deserving? Someone dying of cancer? Fundraisers? Kids getting allowance or not?

Its all pointless at the end of the day because these opinions aren't ever gonna sway anyone here.

So to answer you: Nothing deserves a thread. But people like me make them to 1) Get a perspective of others mentality and 2) Contribution to MMO Champs. As "UNDESERVING" as any thread is, its still something to participate in. If you didn't like it, you didn't have to participate. Your participation is proof of what I just said.

But really, OP, it goes all over the place

Her: /responding to an invitation, "We have to work that weekend!"
Me: Um, no, I have to work that weekend and you'll have our car.

    All over the place.

Let's all ride the Gish gallop.

    "I'm pregnant"

    "We're having a baby"

We're having a kidney stone sounds weird.

I'd use "we're expecting" to be honest.

But honestly, it's not a big deal either way.

    You people are weird.

Typically, Couple wanting trying to have kids = we.
    others, I.
But its based on the relationship.

Both are right. "We're pregnant" is grammatically correct when you are talking about a couple.

Dude better not be pregnant, arnold tried that it looked quite disturbing

Pregnancy is a medical condition, and men cannot get pregnant(normally, without surgery, that one Arnold Schwarzenegger movie notwithstanding). Wanting to share in the joy is understandable, but grammatically it's incorrect to say 'we're pregnant'.
